I've decided to totally change my growing strategy. Sometimes I overveg plants and then drop them into 10g pots which they never seem to reach the bottom of while more plants stack up in the veg tent awaiting bloom phase getting all stretched and yellowing on the lower branches from lack of light.
I'm going to try a SOG style perpetual using lots of plants from seed in containers that are 5g or less. I have been germing out a literal army of seedlings with all the crosses I've made this year. I plan to hold a few select females in veg as mothers indefinitely. Only trouble is the added step of sexing them out. In the past I've waited a full 60 days from seed to induce flowering but I'm going try flipping them ASAP in batches to avoid wasting time vegging males.
So for my first ever batch of CMH crosses I have 9 seedlings that are 3-4 weeks old; they've been flipped in a separate tent to 12/12. They are still in solo cups and will go right into 5g once they show pistils...any that show pollen sacs get fed to the worms..ain't fuckin around no mo

60 days at what specific photoperiod?

I like that plan.. so you will reveg after u transplant to 5g and no more transplanting?
Yup...the first 2 plants have just been popped into the bloom room last week in 5g pots; they are the ginea pigs. One is an emerald triangle BBHB clone and the other a TGA Brian's Berry Cough; the only girl out of 5 seeds.
Built the bloom pots with ROLS and a thickass layer of fresh EWC on top. Then I made a "spike" for each which is a small finger size hole off to the side filled with a mixture of:
1 part Kelp meal
1 part blood meal
1 part fish bone meal
Just gave them a 3 day brew AACT with EWC, kelp, seabird guano, and liquid fish.
60 days at what specific photoperiod?
The BBC was vegged under a 400w at 18/6 for a full 61 dayz in a 1g bag and then flipped to 12/12. Once she showed her pistils (the only one that did) she was transplanted & revegged in the aforementioned 5g pot for 2 weeks and then placed in the bloom room alongside the BBHB.
Now I'm going to try to speed thing up by flipping seedlings at week 3 or 4 and then going right into the 5g once they show. The faster turnaround will make for small plants with small yields but I'm going to try and offset this with a much higher volume of plants. Can easily fit 60 plants in here; hoping to eventually be harvesting 20 plants every 3-5 weeks.

could you manage 24/0 for 60 days? do you believe the older a plant become the more the cannabinoids build up to supreme levels?

I probly could go 24 hrs on but that would jack up the power bill somewhat. I do believe that cannabinoids bulild up in the resin heads which need a full bloom cycle of 60 to 70 days to maturation depending upon the strain. I guess it possible that older plants vegged for a super long time push more goodies into their trichomes than younger ones do. I don't notice much difference between the plants I've grown from seed or their clones which are vegged for much longer. I know for sure that older reused soil works better than new.

Time for some updates. I am changing the way I do things now to hopefully increase future yields. I'm gonna try to do more plants in smaller containers with less veg time. But still got a couple plants in the bloom room finishing up in 10g pots. Here's a NL x chronic clone I have just harvested; there were 2 more like her but this one is the best yielder so far thus she was saved to be hung in time for thanksgiving. Check out the nuggets on this turkey:

Here's the next one up on deck; it's the last of the blueberry headband clones I've had. As you can see she's real thirsty and needs another couple weeks to harden up some more. Been giving her desert conditions...the bud is so much better this time of year when temps drop down. Get so much better quality bud in the fall/winter than I ever can during spring/summer. Some of these pics were inverted as the heavy buds are pulling all the branches down to the floor. She's been going for 11 weeks now so I expect she'll see 13+. This will be our christmas bud; happy holidaze!

So the first set of my own crosses I started from seed have been sexed out. They were vegged 4 weeks from seeds and then placed in the bloom room. Started out with 11 solo cups; three of which were double seeded due to growers impatience lol. Out of those 11 six are verified females and one solo cup has double girls...yay! The 5 boys were all cut dried & fed to the worms. Planning to get the girls into 5g pots and re-veg them under a 400w for a few more weeks before flipping to the final bloom phase.

My grow is slowly approaching a cliff where there will be several weeks without a harvest. This is due to a full reset in my perpetual strategy; restarted over with all new crosses. So now that I have an endless supply of seeds its time to get cracking. I've been busy poppin beans like a mad man:

Once they are 3-4 weeks old they go into solo cups and get flipped under their own 300w LED. Since they are so young it takes at least a few weeks to show their sex and it happens fairly slowly so I eliminate the boys as soon as they drop their dingleballs. It is easier to detect male plants than I thought it would be. The boys always show first.

Here's some plants in various stages of growth all vegging under a 400w mh.

You can see the plants in the back row have been flipped until they showed pistils and then back to veg to get some size. Plan is to put these into 3 or 5g pots within the next few weeks, pull clones, and then right back into the bloom room until harvest. I have selected one plant to keep as a mother; actually it is 2 plants. This strawberry sour d x candyman haze was double seeded and ended up with double girls: yay!
