Sorry for not keeping up with the grows. It was a really hot summer hitting high 40's I managed to keep the confidential going to the end. It foxtailed like mad and lost a lot of goodness, but still was 195g of something to smoke. Wont be growing again next July/August thats for sure.

Things are picking up again now, so I figure I would finish what I started with the Blackjack grow - She is on day 14 of flower. Taking a 1.4EC and 5.5PH pretty comfy, Iv really been hitting her with liquid silicon more than usual for some added root resistance. Did have some deficiencies some CalMag would have done wonders for, but since Iv picked up the dosage on the GHE Micro and seems to be sorting her with some nice growth and budding happening :





This will probably be my last Hydro grow for a while... I had a good 7 year run on waterfarms, but Im getting fed up with PC/EC meters, air pumps breaking, water temps and many other factors. I am going to go back to my most successful and quality method of growing in Coco Coir with a pretty heavy stack of house and garden nutes. Iv decided to play it safe with strains to get going... Big Budha Cheesus is back and so is Barneys Farm LSD. Havnt journaled this one but its my most succesful strain in the past:



I will start a new journal for the LSD and cheesus. I have a good collection of reserva privada and GSC to do still, but this is a whole new tent (2 light, 2 plant)/setup/medium/nutrients - so as I say, playing it safe with known winners.

I have a new phone with a half decent camera this time, so will keep the black jack journaled in here and LSD/Cheesus as that goes in the new one.

I was forced to go back to a coco based grow media after back to back loses due to high temperatures & root rot I'm now growing in an organic soilless mix called tupur & it's really giving me results & not picky about nutes so finally my grows are back on track

Yer you need AC, air cooled hoods and crazy extraction to have the waterfarms in optimum conditions... Would be interesting to try on cmh or led still one day though just same temps, root issues need a break from it, especially as I get better bud on the coco grows when done right, just its 5-10 times the price on nutes.. I finally got my hands on a cmh just waiting on the phillips bulb now in the post. Im very tempted to switch it over for the blackjack so that may happen next week. Or I may just think fuck it as the Blackjack iv got under control with temps at 28c lights on (pic is a few days old Il update tomorrow, looking good now... I kinda wanna see my hps bulb out too. Its served me well lol Lets see... My next challenge is getting another cmh light in the next month or 2 tops lol I kind of want to get them in air cooled hoods too I think on my 125mm S&P which could get me right through to July and starting September no worries too. Iv got hold of a dark room 2.4 x 1.2 x 2m tent so finally have the space to do 2 girls properly with proper 200mm extraction/intake on speed controllers rather than several fans flat out.

Tupor sounds interesting, is it similar to coco in that its fairly property less and no absorbant/retaining... I love coco so much because its really forgiving, easy to flush and test the PH/EC on the run off till its right. I find the lack of that control in pre mix etc is why I prefer coco or hydro for that matter. Glad to hear your grows are on track will be watching in on your thread.

Nice man I will look into that. I use a couple of powders by Xtreme Gardening and Root exelerator by House and Garden usually for roots. Anything else to top that is gold.

House and Garden are the best hands down. Dutch pro is very good too. Im going to go with Advanced Nutrients Conno A+B stacked with House & Garden aminos, root, hygrozyme. Prob Advanced Nutrients Boosters too (never used) just to compliment the main feed. Purely as I was really impressed with my autos. The somango was as good as any indoor Iv smoked.

Only used GHE in hydro tbh, but seems to be working for you. So stick with it.

Ok Proper update. Day 20/21 of flower.

I have been busy setting up new area and I am finally on CMH. My temps are now perfect at 24c lights on so I am pretty chuffed. EC Iv been creeping up on but 5 hours on CMH it dropped 0.4ec?? da fuck! So I am bumping up to a 1.7 feed right now. PH rose from 5.5. to 6.1 too and littel pale ness in leaves. Anyway she has a lot more space, better ventilation and lighting.. Lets see what she can do being my final water farm grow:



I also got a reverse osmosis system so my water has gone from 0.4 out the tap to 0.

LSD is doing great after a few days, I have germinated Humbolt Blue Dream too. I will probably start a seperate thread on these. There going in the tent under two CMH lights. Iv managed to get another one somehow on its way now and a t5 for my 0.8 x 0.8 the lsd and humbolt will go in while in veg and blackjack finishes off as has a good 5 or 6 weeks.

I've yet to use a cmh but have only heard good things about them sounds like you're gonna be busy for a long time to come my grows are going well I'm pretty happy lately as it's early fall & ive got my new heaters for when it gets colder & almost all of my insulation is in place temps are much more manageable

Yer man been setting up a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2m tent which blackjack is now in on its own haha. Iv got a 200mm extractor, 250mm filter with reductor, 150mm intake with a low pressure fan controller. That, space and cmh it's running more silent then I ever got my cabs with s and p fans etc. I've just ordered a second cmh so it's pretty much complete. The 0.8 x 0.8 is now my veg tent as mentioned above with a new t5 4 bulb. So yer calm before the storm mate. Not been this well setup in many years haha

Just getting back into the whole forums etc now Im sorted, so will be pulling a chair on your grows too finishing this journal and kicking off the other

I think a .08x.08 is the same as the 3x3 which is just shy of 1 m. X1 m. I'm happy to hear it's all working out

Yer man, its ideal space for vegging especially with the coverage on the T5 near enough filling the tent. First observation and action on the new setup, is I am going to put my dehumidifier on a timer when lights go off. Notice is spiking a little. Humidity with lights on has gone from 30% to 55%.. Which is ideal really with temps at 24c rather than 34c.

PH was a bit wild jumping around this morn then ealised I was using Hardwater micro still.. Doh. Going to put a new feed a bit less strength with the softwater later. No harm done as Iv been adjusting the res quite actively whilst trying to diagnose lmao

Small update. Buds are starting to pack on, sticky and smelly! I did boost her up to quite a strong feed, not sure if she has liked it or not till I can check on the meters when light comes on. Anyway, heading into week 5 so still a way to go!



Edit: Well she took a 1.8EC down to 1.4 so Iv put a new feed in of 1.9EC. I will see how that goes down and bump up to 2EC if still eating so much food. I will get some more shots tomorrow. She looks fantastic and to be a big yielder, real turnaround. Prob combination of water, lighting and ventilation but I can honestly say I am seeing a much healthier plant off this CMH, so far so good!

Update on the Blackjack:

She is a hungry girl. I got a few feeds in at 2EC+ all week. Last night was the first time I saw the EC rise a little so she is on a flush now and I will put a 1.9EC feed again tonight. Really smelly plant and packing on some weight now. Should get really interesting over the next couple of weeks as approach the finish line. She has around 3 weeks to go..

Looking good mate, quite a lot more sativa looking then mine. Mine is fattening up quickly now. On that 2/3 week home run now. Everything is so stable on temps, ph and ec... should be a banger. Really looking forward to getting the LSD and BD in there though
