Can you see any trichome maturity?

Hi, these trichomes are over 10 weeks old, can you see any sign of maturity? Or are they as crystal clear as new ones? Thanks20170904_180255-1026x1028.jpg

Any guess how long out they are from getting some color?

that depends. did they lack any necessary resources during growth? were they over heated? under lit? over fed? under fed? ph'd?
long flowering sativa? whatever the reasons for your extended flowering period may end up being the reason they never mature properly. more plant pics might help the guesswork but @ 10 weeks I never saw clear trichomes on any strain here

I'm realizing the importance of keeping a good Journal. I have a good setup now. Time to concentrate on the science and chemistry.

I wish I have more accurate information regarding my chemistry and timeline.

Is that picture from an actual bud on the plant or from a sugar leaf. It's important you only check buds for trichome development, as sugar leaves mature a lot faster.

It's one of those babies on the top. I think they are all colas.

I would snip a bud and dry it and try it.
is the container allowed to dry in between waterings? has the plant slowed its uptake? how much water do you add
when its time to water?

I did dry and try. Definitely potent & tasty.

Yes, I let it dry out. That's a SIP pot. When I had individual 2 gallon pots I was watering every other day, with this it's every two weeks or more, allowing it to dry all the way out after every second watering. It's really helped out with automation.

I did have a heat problem at 94 degrees but got it down to 86 during flowering. That problem solved because I have a air condition supply running over it :-)

Definitely has slowed uptake. I've found a couple fully matured seeds too.

I was adding one gallon (5 gals.) of water per each plant (5 plants) from the top, in the soil because I wasn't sure my SIP is working properly.

Two weeks ago I harvested about 20% and over dried them in my dryer which is awaiting modification. Then I start looking at them and decided they could mature more...

PS- I dried one without the fan turned on and it came out sweet ! 20170821_153445-2124x1195.jpg

What strain?
10 weeks you say?

Hmmm.
I don't have the slightest clue what strain.

Yes, it's going on 10, since I can't find my crappy Journal I just remembered that it was July 1st that I went to 12/12.

Thanks for helping remember "July 1st".

Damn buddy. What kind of scope are you using? Even using the new 40x loupe and zoom on my phone doesn't give me that clear an image.
I've been thinking with trying to get good images of the trichomes for a couple years. With this one I eliminated the need to hold the specimen. Solution: A little piece of clear tape... But I still have to juggle the camera over the viewing lens because the hardware doesn't line up with the phone's camera lens. That's a 60-100x scope. Picture of trichomes is at 80x.

Yes, good eyes. How does nanners relate to trichome maturity?
More then likely the plant was stressed at some point, stressed during flower production can set you back sometimes weeks.

The nanner could have been caused by rough environment/feeding habbits or simply unstable genetics, the question is more like " why did this nanner pop up"?
