you might want to consider HPS if you dont know much about LED.
Are you trying to start a war or something dude? Your not aloud to mention HPS anymore. No one wants to hear one can yield 2.5 pounds easy on a DE HPS lamp with a low yielding strain. The cost is like 330.00 for that also. So be careful what you preach. Be ready to defend the battle field like your a Targanion.

Hey guys just wondering if this idea will work or if it will fail... I was going to setup a 10x5x7 LA Garden tent in my basement. I am going to use 2 x Meizhi 1200w LED grow lights (total 2400w). and also throw in another 2 x Viparspectra Dimmable Series PAR450 450w LED lights (900w total). So my total wattage be 3300w of LED lighting.
*sigh*

It doesn't work that way. Putting 2 1200 watt lights in the same room doesn't give you 2400 watts. It gives you better coverage of 1200 watts.

The ONLY thing that gives you MORE watts is a more powerful light. Other than that, all you will ever be doing is just getting better coverage of the same wattage.

So, in your setup, you're running 1200 watts max. Period.

But you do have good coverage of that wattage...which does help a lot.

lol no war starting here. Im just preaching if you dont know much about LED stick with and EASIER proven method. and I can back up my cost quotes all day. 330 will get you a complete 600 set up ballast, bulb, and reflector. 450 will get you the same but 1k. and LOL at the DE comment. that shits a hoax. just more unnecessary money

i would not say that.
Veg time depends on if its from seed and to fill what size canopy area with how many plants
i veg monsters from seed in 4 weeks. if they went longer I would grow 12 foot beasts. I already have to do heavy LST in order to keep them from smashing my lights into my 8ft ceiling.

But your not trying to fill a canopy by the sounds of it.

Could that one plant fill a 4 x 4 scrog net in 4 week veg from seed?

For a budget that small and with how much yield you want i'd suggest going with traditional single ended hps. You can upgrade later to led if you want.

This makes zero sense.

My point was veg time is dependent on plant count to fill a canopy. Its not a cut and dried figure of 1 month.
i figured that was obvious. seeing as OP posted about 12 plants. I apologize that i assumed no one would spend the money on an op to grow 1 plant from seed, veg for months to fill the canopy of a 12x5 room etc......

2.5 with 1 light? I'll believe it when I see it. That's realistic if you have several lights to take advantage of the overlap
