You aren't a libertarian. What you profess is status quo capitalism without rules or regulations to prevent monopoly. The end state of what you call libertarian is monopoly, not liberty. Yours is a right wing propaganda effort and never was an idea to be taken seriously. I include clowns like you in that too.

The term that tools like you stole and redefined to meet your masters propaganda wishes is, outside of the US, a socialist ideal that doesn't include your focus on money hoarding at all. It's a socialist ideal, not a capitalist one that would truly put "liberty" into the term you corrupted.
The term was coined by DeJacque appropriated by a laissez faire economist named Rothbard.

zomg Koch conspiracy.

can't have capitalism without capital. whichbis why your side is wrong about what this is today.

get it right and try again.
OK

Got a link to some site that would tell me more about your brand of libertarian? I'm not a cynic like you, I'm a skeptic and willing to take a look at what you profess.

My last interaction with a "libertarian" was a guy who owned a pool installation company. I was trapped in a van with him for days and of course we discussed our world views. The best I can describe his reasoning is that he wanted to be able to demand blowjobs and maybe penetrative sex in addition to hard work for a paycheck. He said that a libertarian society, owners can do what they want and workers are free to look for another job if they don't like it.

So, he's an asshole and everybody who thirsts for that kind of society is. That dipwad you guys chose to head the libertarian tool ticket in November did nothing to sway me from my opinion. But I'm willing to give it another try at understanding what convinces you that what right wing calls libertarian ideology is worth considering.

Links?

the average Joe has dick for capital. look it up....its the reason you all are invoking more government for economic equality.

all while blaming capitalism, it's hilarious.
I have difficulty understanding your reasoning. Just because average Joe has dick for capital is no excuse for eliminating worker's rights statutes.

I'm not particularly hardcore libertarian in the real sense of the word and despise right wing ideologies of which I cannot call yours. Right wing libertarianism is a hypothetical philosophy that belongs in some history book of comical economic theories. It's not worthy of study, and should deserve no more than a line or two in an appendix of failed ideas in economics.

It was made up to appeal to idiots who know fuck all about economics to sheepdog them into rightwing unity. The fact is that capitalism is privatization, which is only possible through gov't. For a community to be cohesive in the absence of enforced privatization, property must be communal. The notion that privatization is possible in the absence of gov't, simply implies privatization of state apparatus. That is not libertarianism, that is feudalism.

I'm open to reading up. I'm plowing through "How to Identify Plants" and trying to up my game at identifying the plant species around me, so it's going to be a while before I have time for another book but if you think an online article for educational purposes would suit, I'm open.

I'm just tired of two pump's references that seem silly and want to once and for all understand what in hell he's talking about. I'm not expecting it to change my world view but maybe I'll understand the man better.

My educational background is almost entirely technical/science in fields of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, statistics and mechanical engineering. I was busy memorizing the krebs cycle when others were studying the stuff you talk about, so pretty much just know what I've randomly picked up here and there.

I did read Howard Zinn's A people's history of the US, which I liked a lot. Funny, we never heard of Hay Market in the history courses we were obliged to take in school.

That's it, the only source of info on that pseudophilosophy is what its founder wrote, that's Rothbard. He was the one who articulated its tenets. That's not to say he was the only one who proffered and embodied it. Others such as Ayn Rand and Pinochet come to mind.

I love me some Zinn.

you don't make enough money to pay taxes. you're a net receiver.
bzzzzz thanks for playing. i pay income taxes but even those exempt from that pay import taxes, inflation tax ect....
Pretty sure he likes pretty much anything from Scholastic. That's about the extent of his reading level.
i don't really see your philosophy as evil or stupid, perhaps ignorant at worst. at the end of the day y'all on the left mostly are seeking economic liberty for most folks as the final outcome albeit your way requires eating others that you must justify as "villians".

often your leaders are these villains but you fall right in for their schtick, I mean you voting for Bernie and all that's pretty easy to see even for you.

You're welcome, I paid for your drinks that you ordered last weekend with my inflation tax and then I personally tipped your bartender and deposited money into her EBT card with import tax money that I paid to an irs guy who pointed a gun at me.

how much of this "inflation tax" that you claim to pay goes towards people like @Olive Drab Green ?
it was Ben Bernanke's claim. do you think the world reserve currency and the imf are really so separate? all these countries we have been invading.....imf members? isn't that a coincidence.

no different than your finances, on paper you made 50k last year, I suspect an audit would reveal more.

What would you suggest Americans do to combat the effects of 90%+ economic gains going to the top 1% of earners?

Doesn't that seem like something that needs to be fixed?

i suggest they keep more or all of their "money". starting with the poorest and the middle class.

the 1% should pay a hefty income tax because income is making money from gains on having money right?

leave wages alone.
