I have that air pump, hung it with a bungee cord like someone above suggested and it's pretty quiet in the scheme of things.
Also you wouldn't believe the work I did to make my room sound proof.....All to mount a big box fan in the door for an intake.....doh.....

Day 28
7-12-2017 : 5:30 pm

This should be the last day without numbers.

Got the new air pump today, filled up the now sterilized res with 5 gallons of ph water + 15ml of hydroguard. Going to let it run with the air stones over night and let the hydroguard inoculate the res before I add the plants.

Currently the plants still look good in their temporary res with just water + h2o2 from the other day. It probably has broken down by now so most likely just water. The leaves look a little droopy but I do not see any yellowing. This is probably from the lack of nutrients for the last 2 days. I am debating about adding a small 1/4 dosage of nutrients to the temp res tonight just to perk them up a little. I plan on adding 1/3 strength nutrients to the new res tomorrow after the hydroguard as settled in.

One thing I have noticed is that one of the plants I must have FIM'd instead of topped because along with the 2 new colas I have that strange bush leaf stuff at the top where I cut. The other plant looks like it was just topped. My once concern is I am not getting a lot of branch growth so everything is very tight and compact, this could be due to the issues Ive had the last few days + lack of nutrients.

I guess I forgot to comment on the new air pump. All I can say is soooo many more bubbles then before. There is no way I could possibly be not getting enough oxygen in the tank now. I'll try and remember to take some pics later

Lol awesome, glad to hear the difference was that noticeable. That sounds more how you want it!

Decided to apply 1/4 strength nutrients to the temp res tonight. Saw a little leaf tip discoloration and decided I didn't want them to go another 24 hours with no nutrients.
5 Gallon got 12ml of micro/gro and 6ml bloom. It also got 3ml super thrive to help the roots get back on track.

I like it, I think I am still leaning towards the 4 in a row timber series 400w cob. Probably wont change my lights this grow since I'll need to do some tent reorganization with my exhaust.

I use hydrogen peroxide in every watering. People say you shouldn't use it. But just a tad every once in awhile. I use 5ml per gallon of 3% cheapo dollar General stuff.. When I feed and when it's just regular ph'd water. I have done it for years. I've NVR had a problem. One thing I have noticed. Is when you water or feed. I'm in soil btw. Anyway. The plant gets droopy. But I think bc I use h202 my plant don't droop when I feed or water. They stay perfect upright praying. Like most people's plants do when your lights first come on. It may just be bc I'm soil. But they not to use alot in soil and coco n whatnot bc it kills good microbes in your substrate. But I run smart pots, or fabric pots whatever you wanna call em. They are actually in hydrofarm dirt pots. But anywho. I've never had one problem.

So I just moved my plants back into their normal home. They got a fresh res of 5gallon ph water. 1/3 nutrients, 15ml hydro guard, 3/4 tsp of great white. Roots all got sprayed off again.

One of my plants is probably going to hate me, I noticed a good chunk of dead root that came off with the sprayer. Yes it needed to go, hopefully it doesnt freak out on me. Ive got some hygrozyme coming on Saturday so plan on adding that as well. Will do an official update tonight with pics and numbers once the res settles in.

Love to hear someone using peroxide regularly with no issues! Soil and water are different beasts though.

I've seen dead root to be suggested to be cut off. I think you will be fine.

There was definitely more root that I could have cut off that didnt look so great. I think I might take it in small pieces over a few days to minimize stress. On the bright side, there is a ton of new root growth from the last 3 days. So I have that going for me....

Yeah I know they are totally different on all aspects. I've NVR done hydro. But I did just buy a waterfarm to give it my first go. Hopefully I can run it decent. Bc I have some beans I wanna pop and dust with some honey bee pollen I got from a forum member. Make a few crosses. I've done crosses in dirt no problem.

I always add it last. And it usually buffers my ph to almost perfect. Very seldom do I have to add ph up or down. I water/feed between 6.15 and 6.40

I have a buddy thst actually trims off older roots. And I don't mean like 1 or 2. He just takes scissors and it's kinda like he jus jabs the scissors in cut whatever falls off is garbage and 2 days later his shit grows through the roof. Every time. I've seen multiple people on here that trims the roots in hydro. And have seen there stuff blow up. I think you'll be fine. Hell there's a guy on here that has a journal. He only grows in a 6x6x6 Rockwool cube. So the roots are only that big. And the plants are 3-4 foot tall when finished.
