When can/should I start using Khaos foliar spray? I'm in week 3 growing in a mix of perlite/Happy Frog/Ocean Forest so I haven't started using any nutes yet but was wondering if it was ok to use Khaos or would it cause nute burn?

It is very difficult to use it for hydro. Certain product are ok but most are to sedimenty. You would need a VERY strong current to keep it from settling. Tried mixing a big batch ahead of time and keep it circulating and it wore out the impellar of the pump in a couple days. Any drip system is a no go. Flood and drain or dwc maybe? You would need to supplement magnesium if not using coco or peat. All the mag in this line comes from your medium which brings up another setback in that there are alot of functions that happen in the soil that may not in just water. With some thought you could get it to work but probably not to its potential
Do you know what I shouldcut out if I have too much N?
Myfan leaves on main budsites are clawing a bit so i think I have too much N!?!
Cut Medusas or Gaia?

Using Roman line in 2nd week of flowering.
Thanks

I'm not an expert, not even with this line, but I would try reducing athenas and Pegasus, and maybe cut back a little on Gaia if you're still getting clawing.

I hear it takes a brave soul to use pegasus indoors! Medium, stage of growth and frequency of feeding could all play a part in how i approached that. The easy solution though? Just give them water for a watering or 2. This line feeds the soil, not the plants. Are you sure its clawing and not over watering? Its also very hard to over do it with this stuff. If you dont want to back off totally, i agree with xcore, cut athenas, pegasus and also tritan. Cut gaia and medusa in half. Using that many bottles requires being able to read your plants and keeping up with slurry tests. I frequently adjust how and what i feed based on whats going on. Example: for maintenance feeding, business as usual feeding every watering i just use early veg recipe regardless of size, (veg only!) if theyre looking hungry then ill bump it up to the late veg. I have some bodhi appalachain superskunk that im trying to keep small until room in flower opens up so they just get light food every third watering unless they look hungry. When the time comes, ill up can them and push full late veg until they seem like theyve picked up, then flip. I have stuff in all stages so it gets tricky. Seedlings, ill take whatever veg mix i have and dilute it 50/50, 25/75, whatever depending on the strength of the mix. Its alot of touch and go. Hope that helps?

Ok thanks. Ive never added Pegasus as it says to use for N deficiency only.
I water 3/4 gallon every 2 days. Plants are in 10gal tubs. Soil shows dry on my moisture meter before watering. Its not too concerning as plants are still growing just minor clawing on main sites.
Edit- thats three quarters of a gallon not 3 or 4 gallons

Right on. What are you growing in and what stage of growth/size?

IMG_1524.PNG New Q.
On the feeding chart where it says 'flush'. Is that like pre-harvest flush or flush to fix ph lockout?
Thx

That's whenever you flush. So, if you're in soil, and you do a slurry test, and things are all out of whack, you can do a flush and start over. I, personally, won't be flushing at all, I'm in coir and I believe the science shows that flushing before harvest is bad for the plants.

Ok thats what I thought.

Yeah the whole logic behind pre-harv flush is flawed.
Ie. unfed plant uses up last of stored nutes before 'dying'. So why stop giving nutes when the plant is basically telling you 'hey im using up all my nutes now'

So... i thought maybe the nftg 'flush' was like an in between kinda thing...not full nutes but maybe nutes needed in last couple weeks.
Thanks again for clarifying

The chart is showing a pre-harvest flush, and your logic and reading comprehension is flawed, if the plant is using up the remaining nutrients, giving extra during this period will only cause burns. Best methods are water only for last week or very low ppm nutrients.

The chart reads like this : seeds , veg, flower, flush. Just follow the top line to see what part they are talking about.

If you read below the chart they also say to do slurry tests to determine if additional flushes are needed. Standard Salts operating procedure, it's the main reason salt's suck compared to organic gardening, all that flushing is flushing money out the bottom of your containers.

This is another company preying on novice growers, who the heck needs that many bottles of nutrients to grow a plant, not to mention these are heavily watered down. They even push their cal-mg on growers, super sad. I guess the fancy names and packaging gets the noobs to bite.

Lol see so Xcorgamerskillz says one thing and you pretty much say the opposite.

Oy...to pre-harv flush or not to pre-harv flush. I guess thats the real question.

Not trying to be mean but that guy is on his first grow, he doesn't have very much experience growing at all and i am not sure why he is offering advice...it happens a lot around here so i'd be careful on who you listen to on these forums TONS of misinformation out there.

First MJ grow, 20+ years of growing everything else you can imagine. Pre-harvest flush is junk science, believe whatever ypu want.
