yea i hear that, I've done the saaaaame things, you experiment with all sorts of different things to simply see what happens when they get pissed off, or what happens if you don't feed, or grow in cold weather, or try flowering a second outdoor crop, or growing in pure castings/compost..
none of those things end successfully, but that's only if you gauge "success" by positive endings, like i always have said, failure will teach you SO much more than success.

For the record i wasn't insinuating that you were an idiot at all, nor did i think you were gonna go crazy on the teas, my point was more that considering the research that you are doing (commendable by the way) that the purpose of that research is to provide you with the understanding of the soil-science behind it, the microbiology and the preference/efficacy for plants to have the nutrients chelated and already in the soil-web rather than using soluble nutrients to feed them.

preparing new soil
1 cubic ft
2.5 gallons peat
2.5 gallons humus (compost/EWC)
2.5 gallons aeration (perlite)
1 cup lime (oyster shell/dolomite) equal portion combined
4 cups mineral (basalt &/or granite rock dust)

2 cups kelp meal 1-0-2

amendment mix 2 cups total
1 part alfalfa 3-1-2
1 part crab meal 2-3-0
1/2 part neem cake
1/2 part fish meal 9-0-0

cook for 4+ weeks


full re amending soil
1 cubic ft soil
2.5 gallons humus (compost/EWC)
1.5 gallons aeration
2 oz gypsom
1 cup mineral(basalt &/or granite rock dust)

amendment mix 1 cup total
1 part alfalfa
1 part crab meal
2 part kelp meal
1/2 part fish meal

cook for 4+ weeks

amend as you go/partial re-amendment
(to achieve 2 consecutive grows without cooking)
top dress every 2 to 4 weeks
2 cups earth worm castings
1 oz amendment mix (same as above)
1 tbs gypsom if/as needed



tea
primarily Bacterial brew cut 50/50

1 cup combined Earth Worm Castings and steer manure
1/4 cup Unsulfured Black Strap Molasses
1/2 cup alfalfa meal (optional)



primarily fungal brew cut 50/50
1 cup combined EWC and or steer manure aged with
3 tbs oats 3 days on 80 degree heat mat

2 oz hydrolized fish

hows the tea look

on the guano I can blend the different guano npk to what ever my needs are

does the kelp meal sound low???
I also have dried kelp 0-0-10 and fulvic acid and aminos available but im not sure how to use them in a tea
plus theyre so potent id be afraid to over do it

I didn't see what volume of water you plan to put this in?

Going by the amount of compost you've listed there (1 cup) -- I've been using 1 tablespoon of molasses to 1 cup EWC to brew 4L (~1 gallon) to get this kind of microlife

The point being, way too much food in there! You're going to get microbial overdrive, they'll use up all the oxygen and it'll turn into an anaerobic soup that way.

You're welcome!
There's certainly more than one way to skin a cat, but the basic proportions should be more or less like WIlson's to avoid running into problems AND get a proper high quality microbial tea ;)

so I seem to have lost and cant find the web page where I found the original tea brews
so I cant verify the missing info from the recipes I posted

but after reviewing the link you provided I feel more confident in the info I do have

I changed the portions to meet the suggestion is the link

I adjusted the amounts to mix 4 gallons to be cut 4:1

so this is what ive done to simplify things

the only part that im un-sure of is the quantity of optional amendments of alfalfa, and guano

im not sure if that's heavy/hot or light... I think its light???

the mix should yield 16 gallons finished

It's funny, I'm in ocean forest too and I'm planning on going organic and re using this soil.

20lbs neem cake

8 bags compost $8 each
4 bags EWC $18 each
cant wait until I get the vermicompost and I don't have to buy this again!

1 bag Alaskan humus
5lbs Mexican bat guano 8-1-1
3lbs Jamaican bat guano 0-10-0
black strap molasses (unsulfured)
oat meal flour
and a couple of these tea bags for brewing

gotta go back for the 2 bales peat, perlite and vermiculite
ran out of room in the SUV

thankfully its the right season to buy all this stuff lol

I will pick up some powdered dolomite at a local place just so I have it

gonna get some more 5 gallon buckets to put all this in.... hopefully the big bags itll last me a life time lol

the gypsum is super cheap
the oyster shell and alfalfa wasn't bad

the kelp and the fish meal are expensive as fuck

fish meal 50lbs was almost $120...I got the 20lb for $60
kelp I think was about $80?

I just topped dressed 2 cups EWC and 2 oz alfalfa meal tonight


so back to my tea
id like to brew in some food

the fox farm is running out of food and I don't want to use salt fertilizer if I can help it... I don't know that the alfalfa works fast enough ??? how soon does it release?

so im thinking about doing a light tea

with the Mexican Indonesian guano at a rate of 2:1 Mexican:indonesion

that' should give me a good amount of N and some P
I just need to get the safe amounts squared away in the tea

1cup, by the time I cut it 4:1 that's only a half ounce per gallon of guano,,that sounds light
maybe it should be more like 2 cups total???

Brother you are sure taking this to the next level, lol. I actually will start reusing my FFOF/Happy Frog mix as well will simply contionually recondition it and let it cook during grows the male i cut down that vegged 60 days got that soil already re amended and cooking in the garage so it will be ready in a few months for the next grow. Post some updated photos of the kids.
