Lush healthy plant all through grow. Now halfway through week eight. Woke up to brown/rust colored spots and whole leaves dried and crispy. Temp rose but only to 78*F. I just started to flush so last water was only that. Temp 68-78. Humidity is at 45%. Soil PH at 5.8. Using FFOF with about 30% perlie. FF nute trio with blackstrap as well. Do not use the sledgehammer but did flush plain H20 3 days ago. Keep in mind this was all over a 24hr period since last night....

So questions..
What happed/is it? Can i get another week or two out of her? Will it spread to the bud? Or pull her early?

Yeah bump your ph up to about 6.8 for soil and keep your eye on it and if it's affecting your new growth then pull it. Good luck

I am always scared to go above 6.0. Doesnt that cause lockout? I dont go too low like some people around 5.8. But i always had a swwet spot in soil at about 5.9_6.1. Wouldnt I show signs early on from the PH? Can PH issues cause this FAST of spreading? Thanks for your reply. I know the easiest is pull and rotate my veg into flower. But I was looking for sleep aide on this batch and want tjat couchlock lol.

I think you're thinking of hydro. Soil has a different pH range to hydro. I keep mine at about 6.3.

I know hydros lower. I think all my numbers are ran just together these days . Just went through all the nute uptake charts for a refresher lol . I think i was thinking Ca and Mg was absorbed at 6 or lower. Live and learn- forget-learn again, re live!!! I might chop her and refill the cabinet

Or you could correct your pH with a flush of pH6.8. It won't help the crusty bits but at least you can finish her out.

Yeah, its a conundrum here. I seem to have an abundance of plants and running out of lights lol. I went a little overboard on the clones and about 95% success rate. Them clones were all happy. Most were suppose to be taken off my hands but fell through. I have some in veg that NEED out. The ones that were suppose to leave are all GDP and im so over this strain.

Hahahaha, I feel ya there. I just ordered another 4x8 tent because I'm in the same situation. At least I can borrow lights from friends.

Well i just checked her and shes not too bad and actually some noticable fattening on some of the buds. I flushed her out. Sucks i put her in a 10gallon lol. Ph at 6.6 now. She'll be riding it out. Just made itself some room for light to shine lower.

this is the soil mix i use.

-4 gallons* Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil
-2 1/2 quarts* Chunky Perlite (soil already has a good bit of perlite in it)
-1 tablespoon* Hi-Cal lime (figured it would be a bit of a PH buffer in addition the FFOF Oyster Shells, but didn't want to go overboard)
-2 quarts* Earth Worm Castings (Provide bacteria and help supplement Nitrogen production for the plants)
-1/4cup* Espoma Tomato Tone 3-4-6 (mainly to provide a little extra N-P-K across the board)
-1/2cup* Algamin Kelp Meal 1-0-2 (mainly for trace elements)
-1/4cup*Espoma Greensand (mainly for water retention as I added extra perlite).

Some great looking plants in this thread. OP I think you just had a small prob and your plants have some nice purple color as its late in the grow. Chalk it up to experience. You'll finish with some nice results regardless.

This looks like a very easy upgraded mix . Gonna try this one.
How long will it carry growth before ACTUAL FEEDING ?
I know FFOF ALONE CAN GROW UP TO WEEK 5 or 6 on water .

Thanks Danny, Heres some updated pics. She continued to fry a little but the flush has helped. Purple is coming but not really. Funny its more in the buds not the leaves right now. My temps havnt been all that low though. She is a beast though for her size lol.

Im hoping into 3rd or 4th week of flower one thing ill do is top dress the pots with a nice dose of worm castings during veg every 20 days or so then when i goto flower prob in my 3rd week i will start top dressing with the kelp meal and tomato tone as well as a high PK tea will never hopefully have to use a chemical fert.

They do look alot better, im no expert but i would recommend on your next run to not use quite as much N if you see your leaves even this late in flower they are extremley dark green which is signs of N toxicty they should be a pale green and your lowers yellowing at this point, that probably cost a lockout of micro nutes causing our current situation.
