So... I haven't found a pollen sack in 10 days maybe two weeks, something like that. This is the second time I've found whatever is in the pic, just up and left of the pistils by that node. Are these bananas? I thought I needed to look for those coming out of the buds themselves? I picked them the first time, should I get rid of this growth?View attachment 3904559 View attachment 3904559
def bananas..

take it out of the room before you pluck them off.

That's a male flower in your pic. They start like balls, then open looking like a bunch banana's. Each individual nanna holds pollen. The ones you see in the pic will open again and dump pollen on your ladies.

I picked the naners with tweezers. Before opening the tweezers after each pluck I sprayed a bleach/water mixture on the tweezers then rinsed them with pure water. Will update in a few days.

Yes its a banana or bunch of, this is far from its technical name. Very managable just gently pinch off, wont have dropped any pollen yet.

If were being really anal then kill the plant but those buds are shaping up nicely and newer growers need to be aware that ita common and not bad in a small tent where you stare at your plants for hours a day. Eventually maybe all your plants do this or maybe just this one or maybe you never see a banana again.

Id keep her going at this stage, in all this time its been a very minor problem. Worse case scenario you get a few seeds... :-)

Yeah I'm riding this out. I'm aware it can get worse, it will be a good test of myself as a grower. That and I have a summer greenhouse grow planned so I don't have enough time to start over right now. We shall see how this goes down!

I took your photo and labeled them pull them off ,keep and eye out for them ,they will not be on the bud ,true and untrue lol as you can find a male gland anywhere there is a node and you see a female gland ,so as a kola stacks up i guess a nanner could hide in one but for sure a hermie,,just keep them bannas pulled off I use hemostats if I do it and if you see any seeds during your grow remove them

I dont mean any hate @Drewboy, do you my man. My brother is in the music industry, tough world. I just cracked up because I imagined some young stoner kid rocking out to it and singing the words in his car at the light. Made me laugh!

So I haven't found any pollen sacks our nanners for a little over a week. It seems so far, about every ten days I'll find something. This plant is starting to look nice though. Bruce Banner is a ten week strain I'm only a couple days into the fourth week. Thi s thing might look impressive when finished, if it makes it. Here's a few pics.

I hope it now makes sense why i wasnt dry humping the whole hermie debate, calling for it to be burnt and generally acting like ive never grown before.

You have learnt more about this whole hermie thing than most newb members seem to in years here and i congratulate you for a good looking plant...

Thanks man. I don't want to get my hopes up on this one, to be let down by missing something that needs plucked off. Hopefully it works out. Crossed fingers....

Well, I've had my head up under her skirt everyday for around a month now. I've found two more sets of nanners. I think this makes six total now with four or five pollen sacks in the beginning of flower. I've actually been putting my head at ground level, laying on the ground outside of my tent and using a shish kabob skewer to pull leaves up out of the way at nodes and under buds to get a close inspection.

Seems to be working and at the rate the nanners appear, about every ten days. I'm not having trouble keeping up with it. I've also been noticing I find them on newer bud formations. For example this pic has bananas under one of the lower more undeveloped buds on the plant. Once the buds get going I'm not finding anything.

I will keep updating until this is over
