I just ordered one of these to try out, has anyone used one before? I am looking to replace my 1000 hps fixtures, I have replaced a few with cree cob builds and have been happy with the results but these being less than half the cost per 4 x 4 tray of the led's has me interested. I am not sure if 630 watts of cmh will out produce a 1000 hps, I am hoping so, would be nice to save 30% or so in power and have just as much or more output like you get with cob builds

If you do get to finish a run with the new light please post your results. For my next grow in the HPS tent I want to try one of these or hopefully by then Eye Hortilux has released the new 600W Ceramic HPS that's due to come out............I want to see how it compares to my 1000W HPS as well.

Thanks and good luck

These over clock to about 750 watts. You will absolutely get the same if not better product and yield from the CMH.
I ordered 3 of these, got one today and hung it. It is very nice, nice light coverage and appears at least as bright as a 1000 hps if not brighter but you can't run it at 750 watts sadly, there is no option to change wattage, just plug it in and that's it. Little disappointing, was hoping/expecting to run them at 750 watts.

I will be trying these out soon, as well. I love my CMH fixtures, but the question is footprint. How much more light does this put out than the 315? If the 315 does well over a 3x3, does this fill up a 4.5 by 4.5 sufficiently? I can't find any ppfd numbers on it.

I have them over 4 x 4 trays, it just covers a 4 x 4 effectively I would say, if these could be over driven to ~700 watts then it would probably be perfect for a 4 x 4. As is I am happy with the coverage, I will know how they perform in about 2 months. :) I would not use them for a 5 x 5, stick with a Gavita for that or something similar. I am currently using them about ~20" above the canopy.. sure I could raise it and spread the light out more but I am also looking for intensity at the canopy.

I've read a couple good reports. I'm considering a couple of these fixtures. How are your plants responding to the light, @linky ?

Everything is looking great under them, only been up a couple weeks but so far so good.
Fantastic! Ordered two from GH today, they should be here Thursday. Excited to see the difference in plant health. Thanks for good info and thread!
