Ya so my buddy said that he uses 90% Seven powder with 10% perlite for added drainage, and all he needed to do was added miracle grow every day for nutes and he produced the best fire I have ever smoked. Seeing how it kill insect there is no chance of spider mites ruining the crop so it kind of genius if you think about it. What do you guys think?:hump::hug:

My other buddy said that it is really a myth that spider mites hurt plant. If you leave them on there, they will help pollinate the thc gland and therefore produce a heavier buzz

Can anybody back up this claim?
If this is true, I feel kind of dumb for using Seven as a medium all these years. But you should see the size of my fan leaves! :leaf::leaf::leaf: I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!

If your plants still have fan leaves then you're definitely not doing it right. Get rid of those things, they just take energy away from the buds. In fact, you should cut off all the buds but the apical one so the plant can concentrate all of its energy there. That's how you get the biggest yields.

I really grow it for the stems, I sell them as fire wood by the cord, I toss the nugs to my dog. When your growing for stems it take more acres, but I have the best firewood around, the weed markets is over rated anyway, the firewood game is where it's at! Hustle trees baby!

And I have the happiest dog in town:bigjoint:

spider mites can and will wreck havoc on a cannabis plant if left alone long enough and the infestation gets bad enough, there's no denying that..

So I have been right to use Seven powder as growing medium all along?

I KNEW IT!

Thank you so much for clarifying! It only makes sense to not take chances, I have never seen a trace of an insect within 100 yards of my grow! :fire:

i never said a word about using 7 powder as a grow medium, and in fact, i've got no clue as to wtf seven powder even is to be completely honest..
saying that though, i'd imagine it's not that great a medium, or more, read, any, people, aside from yourself and your knowledgeable buddy on how spider mites aren't bad for plants, no disrespect meant there, would be using it and singing it's praises, but since that's not the case, i repeat, i highly doubt that it's the best medium for growing cannabis..

Well from my research, Sevin seems to be the # 1 growing medium used by producers of quality medicine. And my buddy produces some of the best fire around using a mix that is Sevin. All you have to do is a tad of research and you will realize how much you are missing out:dunce:

Carbaryl
IUPAC name
1-naphthyl methylcarbamate
Other names
Sevin
α-Naphthyl N-methylcarbamate

Risk[edit]
Carbaryl kills both targeted (e.g. malaria-carrying mosquitos) and beneficial insects (e.g. honeybees), as well as crustaceans.[5]

Although approved for more than 100 crops in the US, carbaryl is illegal in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Iran, Germany, and Angola.[6]

Carbaryl is often produced using methyl isocyanate (MIC) as an intermediary.[4] A leak of MIC used in the production of carbaryl caused the Bhopal disaster, the largest industrial accident in history.

Safety[edit]
Carbaryl is a cholinesterase inhibitor and is toxic to humans. It is classified as a likely human carcinogen by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA.)

that stuff is a pest killer powder?
How?Why? Would you use it as a medium? u said 90% this powder & 10% perlite?
Im confused and a little scared for you. :S
You are clearly having trouble understanding the possible benefits of a growing medium that is 100% pest resistant. And it is Completely Organic. I am a caregiver and all my patients are extremely happy with their organic medicine :wink::weed:

Do they glow green? that kinda green you would expect to see in say...... a nuclear reactor lel

Srsly tho im having trouble finding a single other thing via google about using that NON ORGANIC TOXIC SHIT as a growing medium. Infact even the walmart link you posted has a disclaimer reading

Warnings:

Warning Text: Harmful or fatal if swallowed

California Proposition 65 Warning: WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm

Ingredients:
Ingredients: Carbaryl (1-naphthyl N-methylcarbamate)

So yeah...maybe the fire is just the genetics and instead you should just burn that with fire and grab some coco lol :X
