Hi, I have a flood tray with a sheet of ABS suspending 5" netcups and i have 1/2gph drippers i want to try, using root riot plugs and hydroton only. could i use a regular 15min/24hour timer or do i have to buy drip timers? how long/many times per day should i run the drippers? and where should i place the dripper? place it to when its just barely hitting the plug?(which will still soak it) should i put 2 drippers on each pot? thanks for any help

You can drip feed 24/7 with hydroton, it really is a matter of experimenting to get the flow rate correct, not all grow rooms are the same. What works for me may well not work for you. Have your drippers dripping around the grow plug not directly on it, it will wick from the pebbles to plug.

thank you for the response and true, i was just asking so i can stress them out as little as possible since theyre in flower, do you think i should go with 2 drippers or 1 is good?

Best bet is to diy a Hydro Halo Watering Ring. Failing that yes to drippers should be fine.
yeah i tried the diy halo but its like impossible to get the same drip rate.pressure in all the holes on one ring esp with multiple rings on the same line with eachother, unless theres a tool/tip to make a nice drip hole? also, do you think a raindrip timer is needed or should my 15min on/off standard timer should be fine?
