Meanwhile, the OP and the retards like the OP don't understand that National Debt, though high is not the only number to reflect on. We also have this thing called GDP, which is also very high, and is a good thing. It is currently at 16.8 Trillion. Which puts us in a deficit of around $2.9 trillion. When Clinton (Bill) was in office, we had a surplus. We still had a national debt, but our GDP was higher than our national debt, so we had a surplus. Then when W took over and the Republican party turned the US economy into a shitstorm, we had a large deficit. Then 2007-08 happened, again thanks to W and the Republican party. In order for us to survive that mess with a simple recession, we had to increase our national debt to "pay for things". And ever since the Republican party took over both house and senate, not much has happened in policy to make any substantial changes. It hasn't helped that Obama has been rather pro war.
A 3 trillion dollar deficit is large, but it is reversible. The political powers that be have to change it. Electing people who want to be partisan and who want to continually play the blame game are only going to make matters worse.
