Can Girls Recover From Heat Stress? Start Fresh?

My clones went through major heat stress from high water temps-85-89 degrees and high room temps of 87-92 degrees.

Using a hydro-drip system....

Lost over half the girls... some girls survived and seem to be happy and I see a little new growth.

BIG QUESTION: Can the girls recover and reach their FULL potential after the stress?

Or should I replace all with all new clones?

Thanks Green Thumbs! :weed:

their young. they'll do fine. well, the last 2 at least, i see very minimal damage or heat stress. that first one is in rough shape but it will recover which will cause it to get stunted growth most likely.

yes they can i had 2 outdoor plants that were in 106*F and above for 2 weeks straight i jus kept them sprayed (some people knock it but hell it seemed to help) if the leaves are over 30% burnt youll prolly lose them and growth is slowed down for like 2 weeks, but since your in side on hydro it mite not work the same but hell its a shot jus get the temps down bro

what is heat stress.. heat stress is when you have a high temp with little to no fresh air.. not because your heat is in the 90's... air flow moving the heat around and out is what is all boils down to. at anytime when you have hot old stagnet air thats heat strees.....

Well we have great intake fan and awesome exhaust system plus 2 16 inch fans so.... air movement was not the problem....

we feel the H20 temp was BIG factor as well as it was never really below 83 degrees anytime of the day and stayed mostly in 88-92+.

cool.... so they will recover! I'll let em grow!

sounds like you have all coverd..heres a video of my last grow. the plant in the tub, the big budi got 412 grams dryed..had temps in the very high 90's at times in the 100's..but due to the great fresh air flow and exhaust...it was a great turn out... if your setup is this orbetter then no worries...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3mlgqky9fE and it sounds like you have no worries...good luck

Thanks for the advice. It's awesome you can have temps that high.

Curious... What are your water temps when your at 90-100?

I heard over 85 water stunts growth and death.
I see your in soil. We are hydro... so I think with our water temps high was major issue....

thanks for video!

ITS A WEED NOT SOME KIND OF TROPICAL EXOTIC PLrANT

it can recover from almost anything hardest is overwater

but dont overartest its recovery ability

I would also be very worried about pathogens in your hydro system. Flush the whole system and clean it. SM90 is a great product for this.

Peace

PS with water temps that high your PH was screwed so most of the food was locked up. Sometimes you can see locked up nutrients floating in the reservoir, but not always.

You want colder temps for your water as the nutruints are absorbed faster and more readily. 65 to 68 is ideal..

Peace

Sorry didnt know that. I was searching tho and this is a place it took me. Plus no one responded to the thread i made anyway. Didnt know tho
Some threads get responses some dont, im not sure of your problem but im guessing theres some obvious answers like spend the couple hundred bucks on a hi grade water chiller for the res etc etc. Your plants look ok'ish :-)

Thank you. Searching around has helped me figure out that heat issues cause ph issues and now it all makes sense. Ill buy a chiller

Not big on hydro but im sure my bluelab ph meter takes temperature into account whereas my crappy truncheon didnt and different temps gave different ph readings in the same solution. If the chiller dosent solve it im sure youll enjoy constant res temps anyway.
