What did you think about it going recreational legal last week?
"Stoners have never really considered cannabis to be illegal. That's why they smoke it with blatant disregard to the law, because they know it's a plant."
~Tommy Chong~

I know I butchered that quote, but I think we get the idea. I have mixed feelings over the legalization of cannabis. I'm stoked that the inappropriate and wrongful persecution of so many can finally begin to end.
And I'm especially stoked that so many will have access to a medication that they've never had before. Like many of us, had cannabis been legal when I was growing up, my life would be very different. I had to do strange things to get the medicine I needed to function, and I'm really glad that's over.

But I can't help but wonder how the corporate interests that be will find new ways to capitalize off this plant. And I'm really beginning to worry that the first really unfortunate thing we will all begin to see is access to high quality medicine declining.

All I can say at this moment is that I'm glad we've legalized, but the work is so, so far from over.

It seems that many of these same corporate/capital interests have been preparing for legalization for quite some time. It appears 'they' might be a bit more prepared for it then 'we' are.

And yeah I know...'us' vs. 'them' is a silly frame of thought. But I don't know the name of the owner of 'monsanto' or the name of the owner of 'miracle grow.' Probably the same people anyway.

Yea my buddy and I see a one or two year window after federal legalization before it is totally corporate controlled but I figure a good grower out to provide the best bud he can will all ways find a market for his flowers. And I do think Monsonto owns miracle grow as well as osmacote, Scott's, A N , and everything else.

At any rate, I trust things are all going to work out in the end. I like to think of things in this pendulum sort of a motion. Things kind of swing back and forth until they find they're center of gravity and resting point, and any possible complication I can foresee is swiftly proceeded by the cause of that complication or followed by the solution. Everything is as it should be concerning the legalization of cannabis. Technically, we should be capable of working this out, but as to whether or not we will, remains to be seen.

thats general hydro they bought.
multinational companys cannot partisapate in the cannabis scheme due to cannabis being illlegal in the geneva convetions doctrine the U.N. says some bullshit and it saves us from the HUGE money companys for awhile . unless they create a loophole.

legalization has really dropped prices on hydro in chicago and michigan..seems like everybody is growing illegally now,,problem is that most hydro ive found is poorly grown and people just make up names for each strain so who knows what it really is..makes it hard for us caregivers who make it our responsibility to grow only grade a weed and use only seeds bought from reputable breeders so we know the strains real name...

I call bullshit. First, you knew nothing about DJ's hermie males that DJ has talked about numerous times including in his own book. And now you are claiming to have the original parents that is KNOWN that DJ lost the original parent stock before 2010.
its like a rare collectors coin :) short has lost it but someone still has some around

Why don'y you take this up with the single seed center or wherever you got the seeds from.
Old World Genetics doesn't offer and hasn't offered True Blueberry for a long time. What aren't you understanding about this? Is it really that hard to understand that some companies are ripping people off?

Dj Short's Old World Genetics DOES NOT work with the Single Seed Center.
Also, the cost of seeds directly from Old World Genetics is about 1/4 of what single seed center is charging for their Dj Seeds.
jamesbean has dj shorts old world genetics are those beans the real deal jd ?? ky

@Jd Short do you have any more info on the Quimby you used in the Whittaker Blues?
That Shortbread sounds freakin delicious too, wouldn't mind trying that out!!
The lineage of the Quimby is unknown. It's a stout x-mass tree structured plant, most likely of afghan origin to some degree or another. It's a medium height plant and a medium to heavy producer of semi-dense nugs. Heavy resin production and extremely narcotic in effect. The Quimby may in fact remain as the most narcotic strain in the stable to this day. The smell in flower is of Cat Piss or ammonia mixed with a sweet floral berry smell. The smell of the finished flower is of Jolly Ranchers or Fruity Pebbles and tastes like astringent berries or tangy berry. It finishes in app 8 weeks. Shortbread is awesome. Extreme euphoria combined with heavy narcotic body high. And tastes like tropical fruit and tinges of fuel.

The progeny of the PFK have been ran through r. and d. I have some images I'll upload eventually or if someone hassles me enough to. The project was abandoned due to some aesthetic qualities that were unfavorable like leafiness and low resin production. The flavor and effect was spot on with many of the things that have come from the Blue Line however. I'll re-approach this eventually with pics and smoke reports.
