This light puts out over 1500 ppfd in a 2x2 space it should almost melt the resin off ;) Should be an awesome grow. It would also be exactly what I am using because looking at your plants it seems like you grew them under flouro and you are now flowering with led. I was looking at their 180 cxb which is over 1700 ppfd. I am really leaning toward diy but everytime I see one of these sexy units all nice and ready to order I add them to my cart and dream.

The 100mm 120 degree removable glass lens is standard. Gives nice even spread.
Reflectors with RZ diffuser lens has higher losses and not as even coverage as lens. Silicone optics gives good spread but is expensive and not as easily removable as a glass lens. It is easy to install/change these optics.

My next cob light will be Cree but I have a w90 w/Vero 29 4000k and an Optic 120 w/Vero 18's 3500k. Both flower well and my eyes pick up little difference in color. With my flat canopy I've been not using lenses lately and am very pleased. Veros seem to kick butt at my house!

Does he optic have lenses? That usually takes the k down a bit so it makes sense that 3500k wo lenses would look similar to 4000k with lenses.

Have you noticed a difference in flowering with 3500 vs 4000?

The tent does look whiter lens off. Maybe as much as the difference in the k rating. But then there is more light getting to my highly reflective walls. Both do flower very well and make very frosty flowers. 3500 seems to pack more bulk on late as one might expect. Both seem to bring out blue and purple hues.

The 4000k w90 a51 uses a reflector which is more like a bare cob than it is a lensed cob.

One other thought is my eyes might not be that sensitive to the different k ratings. Can't smell most these aromas and taste in herb either. Most of it smells like weed to me.

3500k and 4000k are pretty close as far as we perceive. With the lenses on it may take you down to closer to 3700k or so so it would be really negligible from a 3500 bare. I am familiar with the w90, reflectors don't effect spectrum, but i didn't know if the optic had lenses or not which would affect the way you see the spectrum vs the w90 which will be essentially bare.

The optic seems warmer w/lenses. And at 3500k it is warmer with lenses off than the 4000k w90. I can see a few hps street lights and they vary a lot more, but my eyes may not be the best at seeing those small differences.

this is my first run with living soil so I'm interested to see if I can go all the way through flower with only water. May end up changing that idea as this goes but looking good for now. Soil might be a little hot, but that's good this early I think. :)
