My new Suicide Cheese is RUSTY!?? Why oh why....

Hello Wizards,

Playing with a couple new strains and having trouble dialing them in.

WTF I'm doing:
Distilled Water
ProMix HP Mycorrizine (Often with Diatomat... earth on top, trying to fight thrips)
Botanicare PureBlendPro (Veg and then Grow)
Cal/Mag
PH Balanced to 5.8-6.5
Kind LED K3 L450
2x2.5 Gorilla Grow Tent
Little fan for airflow
Temps 75-81 degrees
RH Not sure atm

Let's see our Suicide Cheese mistress.

So far I'm at day 39 of flower and this lady is way behind my others...
Thoughts on what is causing the rust on the leaves?

if that is the same plant I think it is..try giving it less water when you feed it.

it will definitely be behind everything else as well...
Even when the things grows well it produces next to nothing.

fighting thrips doesnt help but they're not doing that to your plant.

Looks like calcium deficiency. I see your using Cal/Mag, but are you sure on your ph levels? Check the ph of the runoff, you'll prolly find its outta whack with your input ph.

Are you sure that you dont have fungas gnats instead of thripes. I get them it seems right around week 5 of flowering. Causes the same condition, the larva eat at the roots and mimic deficiency of cal/meg. Sm 90 works well so do using potatoe wedges

Just did a flush of 6.8 PH 550 PPM tap water.

if that is the same plant I think it is..try giving it less water when you feed it.

it will definitely be behind everything else as well...
Even when the things grows well it produces next to nothing.

So you don't water to have 10-20% run off each time? Seems like 3000 ml is enough for my ProMixHP in a 5 Gal bucket, but I only water once a week at most. Usually the pots are quite dry by then.

So my flush produced a slightly elevated PPM of 880 and a PH of 6.7. Doesn't seem to be out of hand on either side. Humph....

Cut up a potatoe into pieces 1" squared. Bury a few per container about half on and out. Leave for a day then remove and replace. It get the larva to eat the potato and the adults to put there eggs. Usually i do for about a week gets rid off most then new ones every feed. The sm 90 is like neem oil but its a root cleaner so the bottle says. Can be used as a spray or mix with feed. I like it as a spray since gnats are only a problem under the soil you only have to spray on soil and trunk which i like cause there is very little contamination to the buds. It is organic but who knows howmuch truth to that.

Side note, stems and petioles are purple. Maybe try epsom salt if its mag or could be early signs of lockout. Younger leaves are turned slightly sideways at the tips, have that crinkly/wrinkly texture and are showing early signs of the rusting as well. Looks like it's not uptaking something. Also could be why it's so small compared to the rest.

YES! I thought the same and actually thought it may be a lack of Manganese due to lockout of the Cal or Mag. Can't really find just Manganese but Brite Lite suggested B1, so I've added some to no effect. I'm not expecting much as I've run this cheese before and my yield is abysmal at best. That smell tho!

how tall is the plant? in a five gallon pale I's expect it to be near 6 feet
if it takes a week to dry out Id suspect the pot was to big for its root mass.
The strange part is that it grows a really nice root mass. For what the pant looks like.
The same deal can happen with under watering as well.

This is my exact thought too, manganese. Flushed the hell out of it last night, now how to add some manganese.....uh how do I goes abouts doin that?

I feel the only thinking flushing will do is make it worse, even if you flushed with a low nute solution ...and not just plain water. I think you will only leave the roots wet with lack of oxygen with such a large pot.

I'm still tryin to figure the bitch out as well

Yeah, not very tall at all. This is outside my tent, ended up turning into a second flower chamber, as Veg has moved to a bigger location. Only running 150 w HPS and one of those UFO LED gimicks. Seems ok for the small space, the Cheese was in the tent, she's been kicked out. A proper introduction is in order I guess. Starting in the lower right is the Suicide Cheese. To her left is B93 at the same age. To the left of that is another B93, but 3 weeks behind in age. In the back row we have two small bag seed mystery indicas that are sitting on a prop already (they is tiny) and we finish with another cheese, the XXX. (Exodus cut I guess?)

I won't water her for a while and we will see what happens.....

That plant vegged for a few weeks... even still the pot may be a little large holding water that long...
You could put that plant in a 1.5 gallon pot.

really...it aint doin to bad.
...the girl is just one nasty bitch.
.watered and fed just isn't enough to keep her happy

In veg..she looks flimsy and floppy... by comparison but yours is doing well even being topped.
She'll finish no problem anyway....
