I'm new to the site still learning how to navigate it anyway this is my first grow and it's been about 3 weeks since I put the germinated seed in the soil.
This plant seems to grow more root wise than on verticle growth. Just reaching over 3 and a half inches.
I have roots coming out of the bottom of the pot but I transplanted a week ago. From solo cup to 1 gallon.
I had a few questions if anyone can help me out. One leaf seems to have this weird looking glaze to it. It's somewhat brown.
Doesn't look very bad but just wanted to know what it meant. Also I fimmed my plant yesterday I wanted to see if you guys can tell if I did it right.
Thanks for the help in advance guys.

welcome to RIU @Isuzugang congratulations on your first grow--looks good and your top looks good too. i try to feed the first time around week three or four depending on how they are looking at the time. what kind of soil are you using? if you're starting to see some roots, do you have the room to up-pot? what nutrients have you chosen and what kind of lights are you using?

Thanks glad to be part of the community. I haven't given any nutrients. I'm using natures care organic potting soil. It's made by mg but I figured it's the best I can get for now although the idk what type of nutrients it has in it. For lights I have 4 24w 5k CFLS putting out 1600 lumens each. I do have some room to transplant to 5g but I just don't see how it can be so small in a 5g it's only 3-4 inches high @undercovergrow

In the pic it looks like you trimmed all three sets of leaves, the main plus the two side shoots. Maybe I am wrong. You wouldn't want to do that. Just the main. You need the two side shoots to be in good shape. It would probably still grow fine though.

Just a heads up your gonna need more light here real soon. Look into led, cfl and hid lights, whatever you do make sure it's an actual grow light preferably 150w or more. No she's not ready for a 5g yet, what is it in now it should definitely be in a 1g. The new top looks like it has a bit of mutation, is it a feminized seed? Don't worry its fairly common and should be alright.

Just so you know this is called hijacking a thread; this is not your thread you should be starting a new thread. That being said, please excuse me Isuzugang, if all the leaves started drooping in just one night I would say that they experienced some very high heat, that's if there drooping really bad are you sure it's not just normal drooping from watering. Either way this is not the place to discuss it start your own thread and post some pics, the fine folks at riu will surely help you out.

@Isuzugang the close-up shot of your girl does look like @sunny747 says--you trimmed the leaves, but as said--it'll be fine. next time, try to avoid those new shoots and just cut at the main stem. @New Age United is correct--you're going to need more light and she should be in a one-gallon pot at this stage, not your five-gallon yet. she's looking good though, so no worries. size wise she's fine. good luck on your grow-let us know how it goes. :peace:

I know I'm gonna need more light I'm looking j to buying a couple 150w cfl and I believe it's one gallon more or less. The pot said 8inches. Don't know if there's a conversion from inches to gallons lol

yes she's looking good and growing everyday. I came home from work today and this is how she looks! Seems like I didn't do any sort of top I just trimmed the leaves :( I don't mind though it's gotten really bushy since I did that.image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg
