In this instance perhaps- only because he got caught on video, but all too often the cops are being away with it and they're believed because they're the authorities- so they must be right... right?

These guys feel immune to prosecution. This is a pretty clear cut case of cold blooded murder, I think we'll see a turning point in society with the result of this case, how the jury decides and how the judge distributes the consequences. It's going to set a precedent

i have a hard time blaming everything on racism , several of the cops standing around watching were black, These people are just sadists and thugs that like to hurt other people, doesn't matter what color you are,

Not likely, the dude filed a police report without knowing he was recorded. He fucked himself big time. Any crazy plea will be immediately thrown out because of that, especially considering the content of it. You can tell by reading it he tried to make the whole incident look like he was the victim and Scott the thug. The footage shows the complete opposite.

Fuck this cop. Bitch deserves to rot in a cell until his life expires for that shit. There's nothing he could say to overturn what the footage shows. He straight up murdered that guy, no debate about it.

Yeah, good example, I think the difference is the gains minorities have garnered since King's beating, I think the majority of the US is much more inclined to side with the murdered dude than the cop today than they were in 1991, especially considering the recent abuses of power by police against minorities in America

Their institution itself is based in the idea that some people (authorities) can use force to control other people that haven't used force against them. I reject that.

I don't understand the mentality of these idiot cops. They continue to kill innocent people, even when they know every camera in sight is trained on them all the time they're on the street. We're at an all-time high of recording capability by millions of ordinary people with phone-cam-video machines, and yet the cops are too fucking stupid to quit brutalizing people. They're just plain dumb.

And just think about this: what if there was no video? In light of the cops beating and shooting people everywhere these days, and with all the tension in the air, there's no way he could have lied himself out of being charged for shooting an unarmed, fleeing suspect in the fucking back. So this cop is double stupid.
