I'm not referring to his specific immigration plan; pluses or minuses. Rather, I'm wondering why he wants to completely alienate the republicans on this issue. Because if he does, he absolutely completely guarantees that the republicans will never work with him again. Never.
But maybe that's part of his plan. That way, he gets his to eat his cake over immigration, and then Hillary can blame the republicans for the ensuing two years of gridlock and governmental contention on her way to getting elected.
I don't know. But I don't look forward to Obama essentially thumbing his nose at the republicans and spiking the ball in the end zone, only to create party hatred liked we've never seen before.
That's not going to be good for anyone.
