Okay, so we started this plant 2-3 weeks ago.
Its deep in the woods in south-carolina.
We water in every 3 days.. amounts vary on rains.
---
Problem: We have ants in the plants soil! What do you reccomend?

This is the canopy the plant has to get sunlight from

This plant hasn't had any problems so far. Its leaves haven't been limp from over-watering..Its been going well so far.
We plan on transplanting it into a bigger bucket within the next day or so.
---
I will update this post every 3-5 days.

no you do not need to transplant it in a bigger pot its already in what a 4 or 5 gallon pot thats plenty big...maybe there is something in the soil that is attracting the ants? that would be my guess

4-5 Gallon?!?
That pot is like 5x5in. about 6-8in deep.
Its a small pot.

could I use some sort of miracle grow ant killer stuff to get rid of the ants?

It is, but we have to keep the plant sorta hidden.
Its been growing pretty good..
Its sorta small, I was expecting more after this time and all..
I'm going to get some nutes I suppose..
What kind of nutes should I use for the plant?

The reason it is so stretched and growing slowly is likely because there is not enough light. No nutes yet. Are you putting it in the ground or leaving it in the pot? If you're going to leave it in the pot, put it up in a tree and it will get more light and be less conspicuous.

I actually reccomended this today when we were all out checking out it.
We plan on keeping it in pots.

there is probably plenty of nutes in there for now. if you start to see yellowing, think about adding some, but i would leave it until it starts to get lighter green. the worst thing to do would be to overfeed it now.

it's a seedling, so it won't always be too dark. the lower growth is the same color as the top. If you have a N deficiency, it will be bottom-up, with the lower leaves yellowing first. Give it some time. If you need more N, you'll know.

if its two three weeks old, now would be a good time to start the veg nutes. Take a 2'X2' piece of 3/8" plywood, and stick it up in a tree close to the top, put the plants up there and they will be a lot happier! Start your veg feedings at half strength and work up to it. You'll see your plants beefin up pretty quick, and make sure to get something up there like green netting to put around it so it doesn't get windburn (it will get really windy up there). Good luck, and happy growing! oh yeah, make sure you paint the plywood the same color as the trunk of the tree with like green leaf spots (so people don't see it and go up and rip you off, no matter how far out in the woods, there are still thiefs that will jack you, people that would report it).
