That High School skunk

Looking for a strain that smells like a skunk fucked a weed plant . That quadruple bag and still smell it through your jeans stuff. Not that fruity shit. Don't get me wrong I like fruity but that old school skunk smell brings back some good memories. I have seen a few older threads on this but haven't gotten a concrete answer. I would appreciate any help on the journey to my seed holy grail.

RKS from Reserva Privada would be the one I would pick if I was looking for something skunky. I've never ran it, but it has been recommended in other threads on this topic. Listen to the breeder's description they never lie.;-)

I have tested 127 different ladies from respected breeders so far and have not come across one that smells like straight skunk from a trichome rub. There is something more to it that relates to air chemistry. If I stick my face in a jar of stinky OG, I smell OG perfume but not skunk. But if I put a baggy of that stuff in my pocket and go for a walk outside, the skunk aroma wafts out and is incredibly strong. It may have something to do with oxidation and switching to a different air mass so you can detect it. This also works if you just open a jar but don't stick your face in it, let the aroma come to you and you get a strong skunk blast.

That said, almost every dank variety causes the skunk blast if you try the baggy in your pocket trick. But the strongest I have come across so far has been Reserva Privada Kandy Kush and HSO Desert Diesel, both freebies...

Hopefully you get some responses from someone with experience with different skunks as I have no experience with the two I've recommended. I've only ran skunk once and that was when I first started growing about 12 years ago. I got a cut from a friend who got his cut from another friend who had went to Amsterdam and smuggled back some seeds. He put the seeds in balloons, swallowed 'em and shat 'em out when he got home. Pretty crazy he fingered through his own shit for some Dutch seeds. This was before everyone knew it was safe to order seeds online, but still pretty crazy. Anyway I don't know what breeder my skunk cut came from, but it didn't have the slightest hint of any kind of a skunky odor, just a muted sweet smell. High was virtually non-existent and needless to say I wasn't impressed. My first experience with skunk turned me away from ever trying the strain again, but if I were to ever give the strain another chance I would probably go with RKS.

In the early 80's
uncle drove to humbolt from washington n brought home a very small amount. It had two seeds.
The initial leaves looked like radish leaves.
The plants were very short and skunky.
If i could find that shit I would be soooo happy.
Hell it may not even be all that compared to some of the new stuff.
Could be nostalgia but I miss the smell
It is the smell you can not unsmell.

Mr Nice shit has a pheno that smells like straight up skunk fucked a plant. Its about as close as ive come and i needed a LOT of odour control to grow it and it still managed to escape!
I have heard from an old breeder that it was originally a cross of sam the skunkmans skunk 1 and sensi's afghani but it would take some skill to recreate it...unless you get lucky!

I started a journey once to try and find that old skunk. Started with Sensi seeds skunk # 1, none turned out like what I use to see, very mediocre smoke. Then had a few seedsmans skunk 1 freebies which also turned out very average and similar looks and smell to sensi but more sativa dominant.
Still have a pack of "The Pure" from flying Dutchman but not really game to start that just to end up with shit lol..
What seems apparent is that all these old school strains like skunk, NL etc are all shit now probably cos of lost genetics etc..

Roadkill skunk was around before Sensi seed bank. Sam takes credit, but I really don't think roadkill skunk came from him. My money is on it being offspring from commercial weed that made it's way through the US in the 70s. Sam still claims to hold the real skunk but says he won't breed with it or give it away because he doesn't like the smell. Suuuure. He just likes to pop up and say he has something that everyone else wants, but alas, he's holding it tight because he personally hates it. Lol. Ok then.

Anyway, you're not going to find roadkill in any skunk strains, or mr nice shit. The closest you'll get to rks is a chem/diesel/og variety.

i did g13 labs super skunk a few years ago, like 5 or more now, and that shit smelled like 2 dead skunks died in my grow room in the middle of having raw butt sex.. it was bad, and i mean, really, really, really, really, really, really bad.. only good thing was it didn't smell like weed at all, only straight up dead skunk.. i so couldn't wait for those plants to come down, holy hell it was bad, and i mean bad..
the only thing is though i know a few people who have grown this strain since i have, and idk if they lost a parent, or changed something, but from what i've heard, it's no longer the same stunky ass dead skunk strain i grew about 5 years ago sadly..

Another thing too, you have to take people outside of the US/Canada's opinion of skunk with a grain of salt. Most have never smelled a skunk since there aren't any. All skunks are native to North and South America, the striped skunk only US, Canada, and northern Mexico.
That's so true. In the late 80's there was a lot of the dutch skunk weed available in Germany. This was exactly this kind of skunk you couldn't hide. A bag in a bag in a bag did not help, i have no idea how anybody could smuggel this across a border.
Then in 2000 i was in the states for the first time (PA) and when we drove through the forest i could smell this "skunk weed" and my friend said that this was a real skunk. However, when the dog got skunked a couple of weeks later, the experience was quite a different one.

Thats terribly depressing. I love skunky weed, and the 'tude is having a 1 hour promo today at 4AM my time where if you buy a pack of G13, you get a 5 pack of their Cheese for free...I was thinking about either Skunk #1 or Super Skunk...

I've heard you say this before about that strain, too. What a shame.

Rks that cannacopi uses is foul but not skunk, most skunk Ive ever ran into was og18 but there old stock, its not in there newer stock of og18 seeds. My wife said it tasted like a a skunk died in her mouth...rks from what I remember wasnt all that great of high, its gone for a reason in my opinion, security risk for low potency stone.
