Questions on Male Plants

I have 3 maybe 4 male plants from 22" tall to 31" tall. I'm going to make hash out of them. They have been flowering for almost a week.

So my first question is when is the best time to cut off the leaves?

I also plan to do a controlled pollinization by trimming the pollen sack put them in an air tight jar. Then they will open in the jar.

My second question is how big will the pollen sacks get before they open?

My last question is how long untill they start to open?

I have a hermie in my group that I've had to keep because plants look like crap and I can tell you that once the pollen sacks become visible it is a matter of a few days to a week before they will begin opening. I would imagine the size of them depends mostly on the strain.... it's a matter of sexual reproduction... just like some strains produce larger buds by their genetics, some will produce larger nut sacks

You are not going to get much hash. Ya might get 1 hit. Maybe 1

You can harvest leaves now to make hash just dry them. Now since you're not going to flower the male out,the pods will have opened when mature and all you would have to do is put a bag over the plant/branch and shake it,collect pollen and freeze it to use later or put the bag over a fem you want to impregnate.KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

Thank's IGTHY,
I'm going to try and let them grow a bit just a little more leafs. The males grow 1 to 2 inches per day now. as for the pollen I plan to trim some from my best male plant put it in an air tight jar. Then when I'm ready I'll use a small paint brush to aply the pollen

You never know until you try. I think I'll get more than 1 hit. Form my research I should 10% to 15% of the dry weight. Plus I've been smoking the trims from these plant and you do get nice and buzzed.

I havested 2 of the male plants today. That leaves 1 maybe 2 still growing. I will collest some pollen soon.

It seams like with different strain and what not no one can realy answer my question. So I should have the answer soon by just waiting it out.
