Running out of nutrients!!!!

hello, to begin i have two phantom cookies in 5 gal coco/perlite about 45 days into flower using General Hydro's go-box (flora bloom, micro, gro, koolbloom) and am adding 15ml/gal of molasses. i was planning on having them go to nine weeks.

I'm running very low on GH flora bloom, maybe enough to feed them one more time although the box says to feed them all of this week and next week, beginning to flush after that. i want to switch up my nutes on the next run so i dont want to buy more flora bloom for the last week and a half of feedings.

How big of an impact would it be if i just started flushing them out after the next feeding?

Go and buy some nutes. and unless you are working clones from a known mother, have them go as long as they need to go, do not just put a date on harvest.

And are you flushing because you prefer your plants flushed (which i've yet to see any logical reasoning behind why they would be better) or are you doing it because that's what people do?

At the end of the day, nutes are nutes, there should be zero harm in going to the new line for the last few weeks. Mixing different nutes together at once is a different thing. If a plant needs nitrogen it needs nitrogen, it doesn't really care if it comes via jacks classics of GH. Nitrogen is nitrogen however you package it.

With 10 - 14 days to harvest ...forget that stress shit, I have yet to meet any strain other than Bubblelicous(bubblegum strains)that requires any (N) right up to harvest time, avoid over watering or flushing, but yes I do flush my babes 5-7 days out from harvest day, and as any DWC person would agree that taste alone makes a big difference, even more so with the modern chemical crap they call nutes these days ....still your choice tho ....LOL

Top of the line advice from Tip Top right there . As he stated , grow them till they are ready . Not just a calendar date. My golden rule I grow them till they look ready and then give he one more week. You will not be disappointed !

What nutes does the GH range entail? Every nute range i've used has had 101 different additives and supplements you can use, i always just stuck with the basic grow and bloom, little more. In soil i just used biobizz grow and bloom, worked great, in coco and hydro i just used canna grow and bloom, worked great. Either way, whatever you're doing right now, those are some corking looking plants yellowing aside :) Given how you're doing on just your second grow, i'd be tempted to say just stick with what you have, you're already doing great, and continuing to use the same nutes, learning how t best use them, you'll only get better. With so few grows under your belt, it could end up proving quite counter productive to try something completely different. Just my two cents.

As to flushing, it's what we're all told to do, but myself, i grew the same plant from mother time and time again, and did countless side by side experiements for this or that, and my side by side for flushing or not flushing, the buds smoked, tasted, and smelt the same, the difference was the flushed plant was unhappy by the time it got chopped, the unflushed plant was green and as a plant should look, i stopped flushing, and never looked back. It also removes the issue for new growers of "is it nearly ready, should i start flushing yet" which is all too common, and has often led to new growers beginning to flush before realising they've started a week early and the plant ends up getting very deficient and not producing all that it could.

you have some good points my friend. For me, the GH line is flora micro, gro, and bloom, with flora blend and koolbloom added. i used floralicious plus last run but switched to molasses as a sweetener and like it a lot more. From my experience and what ive heard from others growing this strain (phantom cookies) it likes a lot of nutrients, and because ive been running low i couldnt give it as much as they wanted. Also, the yellowing appeared to be a nitrogen defeciency and i was under the impression that N def in mid-late flowering is natural and that i shouldnt try to give them a boost of N this late...?
