Has anybody ever cloned from a flowered plant?

Has anybody ever tried cloning from a plant that is flowering?

Only reason I ask is that I don't currently have a 2 room veg/flower setup, and was hoping to take clones of my flowering plants at harvest and veg them.... will they come good and start vegging again?
 
yes, i have, depends on how far into flower you are, and you'll have to remember itll be slow going cloning from flowering stage, Ive never taken a cutting for cloning past about 2.5 wks in either.
 
you can but watch for mold on bud as this will kill yhe cuttin takes longer as the clone has to produce roots and revert back to veg, 1 week into flower should be fine

can anybody verify late stage cloning, say 6 weeks into flowering? I figure you can but the bounce-back might take a while...?
 
i have cloned i the early stges of flowering.up to two weeks ..as soon as the ladies showed their true colors i would clone the lower branches....always had great results..late stage cloning is a lot harder cause a plant has to revert back to flowering before the roots can start forming so you lose about a long week on that, which when cloning is a long time. roots may not form untill the third week and if your clone is not mushy and dead by then you stand a fair chance.
 
ok, that's what I was thinking too. I'll take loads of clones and hope that 2 survive :P ty

still keen to hear if anybody has pulled this off late into flowering though.
 
i cloned branches after harvest. just to see if i could. i was harvesting and didn't what to lose the strain. i trimmed the bud off a lower branches, dip[ed it in gel and put it under 24/0. it rooted and revegged. it goes thru a crazy growth cycle and takes several weeks to straighten out but it works.
 
ive cloned at harvest it does take ages they all rooted only got a few to veg sum just died had great roots just dint veg but they must be stressed to fuk, i wont do again would go for regen then take cuttings it will be quicker

Awesomeness, thanks that's a big weight off my shoulders, now I don't need to keep buying seeds! I am going to do that then untill I have space for a separate vegging spot. w000t! +rep
 
I've tried taking clones from a Northern Light female late in Flowering, dipped the cuttings in hormone rooting powder, after cutting the stalk at a 45 degree angle.

Placed the cuttings in a propergator, two weeks on no new growth.
 
Attached is a photo of a clone that was taken from a sour diesel female, the day I harvested. The clone was started on Feb. 14th and the photo was taken late last week. As you can see, it has taken an eternity to get her going but is now picking up and doing very well. pruning quite a bit to keep her short and bushy. So yes, it can be done but definately not the method to use for saving time.
 
im glad i found this post just the info i was looking for. i took some clones about 4 weeks ago the plant was at the end of flowering and i didnt want to lose the strain so i cloned and they rooted in about 3 weeks witch is a longer time than usual but now they are at a stand still they hav'nt grown at all just stayin the same. as long as there is hope i'll leave them alone but i was going to pull them out this week if i diddnt see a change.

hehe, np I do that all the time with attachments. thanks for the info. don't pull them out yet.
