how much maitenece does growing a plant outdoors take to growing it indoors. how often would i need to check up on them and water them and such

bump, i'm interested too because I will not be about 2-3 hours away during flowering and only able to come back on weekends.

depending on the soil drainage, and retention, you will need to water (if planted in the ground itself) about every 4 to 10 days. you dont want to drownd them, but you want moisture to help them feed. and letting them get a little dry for a day or so between watering helps the roots spread out to find other water sources. there is no prefect number for every grow, and plant. it is all about soil/climate/ and humidity. just go for it. and start with a 3 day water cycle, then add a day or so, until they day comes where you soo the leafs droop a bit, cuz it got a little to dry, then back up 1 day on the trips. if it got dry on day 10, go back to every 8 or 9 days.
