My grow room with some cheese.

Hey folks.

Well I've been asked many times about my training methods, and also alot of folks have called BS on some of my advice/methods (those that haven't tried any).

So I figured I would start this thread with my current grow.

The pictures I'm about to upload are during the 2week stretching phase.

Plants are a some form of cheese.

They were given to me at 5" tall and over nearly 3weeks I fed them, topped them, cut of every stem/branch except 4 that I selected on each plant.

As you can see plants have really sent out veg growth in those 2weeks of stretching.

I added bamboo canes early to allow me to garden wire tie the main stems to them as I know this strain tends to have weak branches with big colas.

These plants are in 11L pots with a coco/perlite mix of 80/20.

Canna aqua vega
Canna pk1314
Canna mono Ca
Canna mono Mg
Canna Rhizotonic
Liquid silicon

So here are the pics.

Hey guys and girls.

So here are some more pics of my room.

I'm using
400w lumatek digital dimmable ballast
400w Sylvania grolux lamp
Adjust-a-wing enforcer medium size
CANLITE 600 - 600cfm carbon filter 6"
Rvk150a1-e2 - 350CFM fan
3 passive intakes - 2x5" 1x6"
SMS SMART CONTROLLER - temperature sensored fan controller set for an ambient temp of 22C.
10L per day dehumidifier.
80w tubular heater
12" desk fan
6" clip on fan
Diamond reflective film

Plants have just started week 3 of flower.

They had their first shot of PK13/14 yesterday with an extra dose of Ca and Mg.

I'm using canna aqua vega the whole way through this grow.

In 18litres of water yesterday I added
9ml Rhizotonic
40ml VEGA A & B
27ml PK13/14
2ml Ca
4ml Mg
9ml liquid silicon

EC1.7 (starting water EC 0.2)
pH 5.9

I will be updating this thread with pics up until harvest and weigh in.

I'm trying to beat a friends average of 4.4oz per plant under 400w. 4 plants.

Feel free to comment or ask any questions.

My room currently runs ambient temps of 22.2C hi and 19.1C lo.

Have you ever trimmed like that before? And your results good or bad??Your gals look real good btw ....love the cheese

Yes I've trimmed like this before.

This is why I started this thread to show people what can be achieved with heavily trimming and selecting certain branches after topping.

As you can see during the transition phase from veg to flower there is a DRAMATIC increase in veg growth.

These plants currently stand at 1.5ft tall from the top of the pot.

I've been an advocate of trimming heavily now for a while. Along with keeping plants healthy and green.

I always aim low on yield that way I'm rarely disappointed.

So I'm expecting 2-3oz a plant. However as mentioned the clone supplier wants me to try and beat his 4.4oz average.

I don't plan on running cheese again though. Simply because I don't like it. Lol.

My last harvest was of some DELICIOUS SEEDS FRUITY CHRONIC JUICE. This was a single freebie seed from an attitude order a while back. I veg'd the plant for 8weeks and cloned it. Ended up with just shy of 4oz per plant , 4plants under this setup. That was with an unknown strain to me.

This cheese although I've never grown it, I feel I know quite well from helping the clone supplier up his average per plant.

Looking real nice, 4.4oz per plant is insane, iv got a master kush going right now, its got 6 tops check out the picture.

RIMG0079.jpg Its not flowering yet but it's taking off now.

Here are some more pics.

I have included all my nutes.

Plants are 23 days into 12/12.

I have also included an under canopy shot, bud shot and a bottom leaf shot so you can see how healthy even the very bottom growth is.

Thanks for looking.

thank you very much for sharing this thread
i'm very excited to see this grow
my question is do you have any reason to believe that this would not work under 1000 watts with a 4x4 footprint(25x32inch hood)
and - do you have any reason to believe that this would not work with any decent yielding train

again, man - thank you for sharing this thread - i really really wanted to call bullshit
i'm glad i didn't - i talked about this method with some real life people and you're liable to start a revolution rofl

IMO with a 1000w its a bit silly to grow 1.5ft tall plants under one when you've got 4ft penetration.

Without trailing it myself its hard to say.

In a 4x4 area you could fit 8 of the plants that I have now.

The width of my room is just under 110cm or 3.2ft.

You can see how wide they are.

Like I've said here though the pics in the first post are all muddled up.

If you look for the 2 pics without bamboo they are at day 1 of 12/12.

Also the beauty of this method is that it lends itself well to big cola strains. So sativa doms would be a little bad using it but with 1000w sativas could be used.

By tieing the main leaders to the bamboo it has caused more secondary growth. There are only 4 mains and they are the closest to the bamboo stakes the rest is secondary growth coming through.

If you keep your eyes peeled here I will be updating whenever I can now that I've found an exif app for iPhone pics.

I will not be touching the plants AT ALL now as I've done everything I wanted. Trimming topping etc.

I wanted to personally invite you here as I think you had the more open mind to my methods. Especially once you heard me talk about them.

The pic of my nutes is EVERYTHING that I use other than pH down which isn't shown.

Hope you enjoy the show that I'm going to put on. Lol.

Just thought I would show you my last harvest of the delicious seeds fruity chronic juice.

I've not built up any tolerance to this smoke at all in nearly 3months of smoking

Great great strain. Contemplating it again after this grow.

Watered tonight with ph5.9 and EC 1.7 again.

However after checking runoff EC its coming back out at 1.9ec so next feed will be backed off a little to 1.5EC.

Incase anybody is wondering I use 18litres of water between these 4plants and I get approx 7litres total runoff.

Looking good big lad looking good. That chronic looks the dogs, seen it on sensi last night, may have to have a dabble at that myself!!
looking at it at that stage you will beat your clone man I'm sure!!
fingers crossed and ill keep looking

Nice to see you drop in sonny.

I'm hoping I can beat him. But his room is good though.

very nice man
i'm definitely along for the ride - it's exciting stuff
most of the strains i grow seem to focus their hormones and energies so to speak to about the 15-20 inches at the top of the plant, so i really don't see any reason to grow much bigger than that
i've got a couple strains - acid and g13 haze - that are nice and chunky all the way through
i think most of my strains would do very well this way
the 2 weeks veg is all in your final containers - is that right?
it's the root mass that allows these small plants to produce so well - along with the training and expert care of course :) - is that right?

i have a feeling that if i took 2 of my plants vegged for a month and cut one back to a foot tall with 6 or 8 leaders and bent the other one over, if i stood the short one on a bucket for an even canopy, i'd yield pretty much the same from most of my strains
i'm beginning to believe the plant will create the vegetation in stretch to accord the same yield according to root mass and plant health
i just don't have the space to experiment lol

thanks again for sharing this grow

You're starting to think about it more!!!!!! GREAT STUFF!!!!

This has been my point all along.

Yes they transplanted after 7days from their 2litre containers into 11 litre pots where they stay. With these plants though I did one extra week veg as I was also dealing with some extremely cold weather -4C outside which was giving me daytime temps of 19C so the growth was a little slower than at 24C.

I'm at a stage in my growing time where I want it to be as easy as possible but achieve a good amount without too much work. Now don't get me wrong i test pH and EC and monitor my feed so plants just get enough of what they need. But I don't follow a perticular schedule. If the EC goes in at X amount and comes out higher at Y amount I reduce down to W amount.

Did that make sense??? Lol I'm a little baked and really happy you're starting to believe.
