Found a way to Insulate Plastic Totes for DWC

Hello! Have a possibly good idea for anyone interested in DWC. Someone suggested I use igloo coolers instead of the plastic totes in order to keep temps under control, but I really don't have the extra money. So my wife came up with this great idea. You can buy these pretty much anywhere or online. They are hot/cold bags (similar to a cooler). They can be wrapped around your totes or plastic tubs for insulation. But not only that, they are reflective! Two birds with one stone.

I took a picture of the bags to give you an idea.

Thoughts on this would be great. I haven't got to test it out yet, cause I can't start my grow till my new seeds come in, but I'll be sure to let you know how they work out.

looks like a good idea, they have the bubble wrap reflective stuff at home depot too, its rigid, but probably mor expensive than those lil guys

Yea after looking into a little more, its also referred to as thermal insulation. $10 for 25ft at home depot like you mentioned. Stoked to try this out, I'm thinking it will def help.

Another good idea is mylar insulation...they sell it at lowes and home depot and what not...it looks like bubble wrap sandwiched between 2 sheets of mylar, but it works and wasn't at all expensive, and you can cut to to whatever size or shape you want or whatever...

Upp I waited too long to finish my typing so now I look like I'm behind...sorry I guess I just agree with what everyone else said...lol
