New CO2 generator

Alright. So originally I was generating CO2 with THIS

Dry Ice in the Blue bottle, slowly melts in to CO2, and is blown to the plants by the fan...

But I can;t just continuously buy Dry Ice, so I thought up something else, that's cheaper

Constant output of CO2, it's cheap to replace, and smells good

i dont understand what it is!

Anyone have info on co2 output of candles? I have a friend that uses those little teacup candles you can buy by the 100's and swears by them. Seems as legit as open flames can be but...... still worries me. Calcarb is another cheap alternative that is supposed to increase CO2 absorbtion. Just used it for the first time and 2 days later seeing obvious increase in bushy growth. So far, so good...

Fire IS CO2 being released. Fire BREATHES in oxygen, and breathes OUT CO2, so every bit of oxygen it touches, becomes CO2.

Now as for specifically how much comes out, I have no idea. But I'd say enough comes out, for sure. If the smell fills a room, so are particles of the CO2. That's my line of logic

Less than 12 hrs. That's why I switched.
And it's close to $2 a lb.

Maybe someone with a co2 meter could give a test of a room at normal, then a room with a candle added, then maybe 2 or 3, to see how much of a cumulative effect they have.over any given amount of time. 1/2 hr, then hr ??

For co2 I use these mushroom bags. Just put in the room and it breaths out co2 and lasts about a grow. When the mushrooms have grown its used the co2. Cheap too, I'm not sure what it's called and I'm a combo of really stoned and busy so search it yosef ...!

Not me...

I know another way though...


Measure the amount of air/oxygen in a jar (air would be the only one we could do without a meter)


Then put a candle in the jar.
See how long it takes the candle to die, at this point there is no more oxygen

Ok...
Fungus just doesn't seem ok to me.
I feel like if the CO2 could get out, maybe so could the fungus.
Maybe it isn't even harmful though.

not on candles but yrs ago I found a formula to determine how much co2 was made by burning rubbing alchohol. at the time I had a 4x4x6 closet running so I did the numbers and came up w/ needing less than 3 oz per 12 hr day.if I turned my air over once per hour.(needed to vent the heat) I got a tiny oil lamp & found if I kept the flame fairly small, it would burn 3 oz in about 10-12 hrs. problem w/ this besides heat was that if left to burn out, it ate wicks.but was a noticable improvement in growth.
never saw any difference w/ the yeast bottles & feel it is a waste of time.just my opinion,many swear by it

Im pretty new considering im on my first grow. I have a 6.5x6.5x6.5 grow tent. twice a day i turn ventalation system off for 90 mins and spray the c02 green pads before i seal the tent. Within the first weeks my plants grew aprox 8 inches more then normal rate was in the previous weeks. I dont have a reader but it seems to be doing the trick. my 2 cents

Check it out and don't be so closed minded to new ideas in fact fungi is not harmfull to your plants at all. I have seen mushroom grow straight out our organic compost used for growing cannabis. The mico networks helps feed the herd of little creatures in the soil. It's good not bad. But here's the product I recommend.

I never heard of that before. Pretty cool...

I know some fungus can be harmful...Ex:I think "root rot" is a fungus...
