ok here is my BIGBUD and BLUE MYSTIC plants. i think i fried my other sprouts so i'm focusing on these two.

ok so when these two were small they were in too high of temps and got what i think is burned from the lights/heat it was 98* in there or so for awhile i didn't have to time to check on them and work on the airflow so they got burnt.. now its the same leaves that are yellow and curled.. the rest look fine so i think they are ok now. let me know what you think though.

also i have a restricted grow space so i need as many main colas as possible to get the biggest yield. i will probably do a scrog.

should i top now? or just start lst'ing them?

23 days since they came outta the ground and i'm loving how bushy they are.

Let me know what you think!

they look good so far, but dont top it! its not big enough, let it grow another 5 nodes before topping. the yellowing looks sorta like nute burn, cus the tips are curled and burnt a little. usually, typical yellowing takes over the entire leaf but doesnt burn the tips at all - that would be a nitrogen deficiency, but yours are not exhibiting that type of yellowig. i might be wrong, but i doubt it considering how green the rest of the plant is. wait a few weeks to top it, you want it to be atleast a foot & several branches coming out before you top.

dont worry about those lil black dots unless they spread, then the issue would prolly be spider mites. once again though, your plant isnt exhibiting symptoms of such. it looks fine, the black spots are probably just typical lil necrosis spots - dunno why theyre there, but its nothin to worry about (unless it spreads, which i highly doubt it will).

try not to ever let them get close to 98 degrees again, youll end up with alot more males if you heat stress them. i stay between 75-82, also make sure you have a fan blowing the air from your light source away from the plants. what kind of light are you using?

Yeah i got cpu fans blowing in from the front of my box now and out the back across the 6 26w CFLs that i am using. the box is wired for 11 26w CFLs for when they get bigger i might also be building a new larger dual chamber box but i want to see if i can grow first.

i have yet to use nutes... and i'm using gallon bottled spring water from the grocery store so the ph should be close, but like i said my meter is on the way.

also when can i start using 1/4 strength nuts? i have fox farm grow big and big bloom.

and yeah the temp will never be that high.. i didn't know what i was doing with my venting at first...

also when i get my good cam back i'll take the preflower pics but looks like they are both female... no balls yet anyways but i know they could still develop.

thanks for the response.

foxfarm is good, i love organics. save the big bloom for flowering and use the grow big right now. you dont have to use 1/4 strength unless they are still seedlings, and theyre big enough now for you to give them a nice 1tbs/gallon of grow-big - just dont pour an entire gallon into that little pot lol, just pour enough to soak the soil nicely.

i hope you dont intend on flowering with those CFLs...i understand a majority of ppl here flower with CFLs cus they cant afford a decent light, but ill just go ahead and say it: CFLs suck, they work for veg but they produce whispy, low grade, fluffy buds. for the sake of your pretty plants, please invest in a HID. of course the ppl who use cfl's will back them up and say you can buy a 400watt HPS from HTGSupply.com for less than $120 and it would double your yield and the bud would be denser and delicious.

several branches yes, but if you have 5 or 6 nodes and it is 6 to 9 inches tall you woud be fine too.

ya exactly, my point is that you want enough nodes so that atleast 2 pop out in place of the one you clipped - and its always a good idea to make sure you have about 5 or 6 nodes so they all can get some energy. im about to top my 20 clones, which are about 10 inches and have atleast 5+ nodes w/ enough growth to bush out.

have you grown with CFLs or are you just saying this... i don't really have the space for a HPS is the only reason i'm not using one.. not money issues.

hes not just saying it. its a fact. expand your space if u can and get an hps. you and your plants will love yourselves lol.
