Okay i need some advice, I have two plants in a box lined with foil, to reflect some of the light. They are both in veg, under a 42 wt cfl, and a 1000 wt cfl. one is a clone and the other one sprouted maybe 20-30 days ago, the clone is afgooey, and the other one is sharksbreath. The clone is around 6-8 1/2 in. with about 3 or 4 nodes, sharksbreath is around 6'' but is far more bushy then the clone, and has almost 6 nodes. I believe they are both in foxfarm soil, I'm not going to be using nutes, but maybe molasses later on. Any insight? do you guys have a recommendation of when I should turn then to a 12/12 schedule? :bigjoint:

That's up to you and how much room you have. I would recomend some nutes tho, at least for flowering. That soil won't offer enough food to make it the whole grow and you will probobly run into some defficiancies eventually.

im gonig to assume you ment you have a 42 watt cfl and a 100 watt cfl, cuz i havent heard of a 1000 watt cfl. and if you have a total of 142 watts of cfl light you will be lucky to get 71 grams dry total. to get 100 g dry from each plant you need about 4 x that light

yeah definately go with the mylar over tinfoil. There are lots of different nutes available. I personally use canna nutrients and have had good success with them. lots of people swear by advanced nutrients, and some people just use miracle gro or equivalent, depending on your budget. Is this your first grow? Don't shoot to high on your first or you will probably end up being disappointed. I got a 1/4 oz per plant off my first grow and of course was expecting a 1/4 lb haha.

If your going to do it, do it right. Upgrade to an HID system for your lights, get some good organic bloom stage fetrz either liquid or amend them into the soil when you transplant. when you flip'em you want a healthy mature plant with plenty of node regions, and you want to wait until they start getting close to each other. Whatever you do, don't rush anything, make sure you got plant of light, space, air circulation, room for the roots in pots and your starting off good.

I'll probably end up changing it if anyone has some good advice, how do you think there doing?

Yea brosef I would add a few more they don't get hot and get in down like an inch or two off your ladies... as far as the foil mylar issue..honestly u could just paint ur box with flat white paint...cheaper easier and ultimately a better reflective surface overall. We all in this together get at me if u got any more questions...u shoukd get some fox farm nutes...atleast grow big . Big bloom and tiger bloom.

I would also suggest transplanting the one on the right. It looks a bit big for that little dixie. Generally when they get taller than the pot it is time to transplant. Also nutes will be critical unless you use super soil (search subcools super soil). GOodluck

thanks for the input guys.. I took the foil out, there are getting really big.. I am putting them into flower early though and I will be getting some nutes hopefully by tomorrow, I'll transplant the one from the dixie, if I can find anything that is.. lol Im guessing that the clone is about a foot and the other lady is just a little behind, I'll update pic's tomorrow

When I transplanted the clone, all the dirt pretty much stayed with the plant and the roots were forming a type of circle at the bottom, is that a bad or good sign?

looks good bro...as far as the roots growin in a circle....well its good because it means they are growing...searching for water and nutes...and also means it was time to transplant....any longer and they would have started circling over and over again, ultimately getting root bound.

That plant looks pretty good. If you flowered today you'll probably get 6 to 8 grams.

I've never done either of those strains before, but if you were to flip today you'll have roughly 8 to 10 weeks. We'll assume they are 8 week strains.

That would put their harvest time around September 8. You'll need about a week to dry and another 2 weeks, preferably longer, to cure them. So if you turn them today you'll have bud on 10/1.

Ha thanks for the advice, I put them into flower last friday, the seed already showed its sex and its exploding in growth so is the clone, unfortunately the clone hasn't decided it's sex yet, But i grew her mother from a fem seed so it should be all good, there is also pink lines shooting through the main stem, and you can almost see tiny buds forming, I'm going to give them some tiger bloom tomorrow, they seem to like a little bit of molasses with their water, i think they'll do great.. giving me atleast 80 grams, because I did add some light. Im not going for huge plants, im doing my best to keep them fat and bushy, I'll update pics when you can clearly see bud forming.. won't be much longer :) any advice is welcome
