Does darkness before harvest make more THC?

Was just wondering if you put your plants in total darkness for about 24/48 hours and then cut them down straight away does it increase the THC on the plant and make them frost over more?? would it work with lowryder 2 or an autoflowing plant??

Yes, give them 36 hours of total darkness before harvest= more thc/resin

i just read some post on here yesterday about this they said it helped but i have never done this, dunno if it would work with lowryder i wouldn't see why not

thanks man...is it better if you leave them for longer in darkness or is 36 hours the optimum? any other ways you know of to increase the THC??

they say anything between 24-48 i think.
The only otherway to get more thc is better seeds, nutes, lights and knowledge.

Its not having them in the dark that increases THC its harvesting in the morning as soon as or before your lights come on because light degrades THC.

You got that right. I have never seen any citations from any botany or plant science literature that suggests that darkness before harvest does anything for any plant.

I thought the point of that was to get any excess chems and minerals and shit outa the nugs and into the roots. I thought the whole point was so the bud taste better I don't think it effects potency.
