depends also on how many lights and the arrangement.
but id say over all conditions for one light 4 plants 6 to 8 ft.

i use 400s and I couldnt see them being too good at flowering 8ft planrs... my plants are 2-3ft max at the end of flower. but also my flower area is very small (22"x 6').
