Transplanting seedlings tonight.. Need help please

Im going to transplant 2 lowlife Auto AK47 seedlings into 5 gallon grow bags tonight ( right now ). Can someone PLEASE post the best method with the least risk of fucking up?

I normally just wait till soil has dried out, then turn near upside down if not upside down and if it doesnt slide out give pot a bit of a squeeze. Keep ur hand covering as much of the soil as u can as well to support it and stop soil going on leaves to an extent. Seems to work ok for me :) Oh and when you put in new pot, fill the fresh pot with soil say half way so when you put your plant in the stem is level where it wants to be. Then fill in soil around the plant, tap it down, top up and water. Done
 
cool. So I dont need to remove all the old soil from the roots like I seen in a cpl youtube vid lol.. Im goiing to use 5 gallon bags but im not going to use the entire 5 gallons.. Im going to use around 3-4gallon worth of the 5 gallons of space and fold the bags under on top.. I really doubt that an auto ak really needs 5 gallons of soi..

Am I wong about that? ^^
 
well it might be messy but you should probably transplant into the biggest container so you dont have to tp again. just tip the plant with your fingers lightly around the stem with your palm against the soil and turn it upside down over the sink and tap it gently out. Then in your 5 gal pot/bag should have at least 3/4 full of fresh soil and then plce seedling into top of soil and add more soil on top so that its flush. lightly press the dirt around it and water it 3 to 6 hours later. hope that hepls. best done when youve waterd the seedling for a couple of weeks before transplant though. the water compresses the soil so that it just pops out all in one peice. Make sure the soil is 50% dry or more to ease the process, hope i helped.

yea I seen it.. thx alot. what about kind of pressing the soil down around the top to compact it more b4 removing from the cup?
 
Well i can tell you to go ahead and try it, as long as you dont actually touch the roots with your fingers it should be fine just make sure you dont break the roots.

You could cut the cup in half if its thin plastic thats probably safer than tappn it out. or just cut the bottom of the cup off and just emerge the cup into your fresh soil(the roots will continue to grow down without the cup effecting it what so ever), another good way with your circumstances.
 
whoah stop what are you doing?> doing pull soil off roots!! Also you should pot up gradually so the roots dont sit in soaking wet soil for days on end not breathing. Maybe double ur pot size each time.
 
ah i misread and paniced for you lol! THought you were trying to remove soil from roots for some odd reason. Anyhow same goes about pot size, pot up gradually your plant will grow faster and healthier for it.
 
WHEWWW.. OK.. I did the smallest one.. ( LOL it looks so damn funny in that big ass bag now ).. What I did was used a utility razor to cut the cup down the side then cut the bottom off.. I then placed the cup into the "hole" in the soil and carefully removed the cup from around the soil w/ the seedling..It did break apart somewhat, but the seedling remained in the soil the entire time.. I then leveled it out..Think I did a well enough job?
 
BTW im only filling the 5 gallon bags about 2/3 or a lil over 1/2 full.. I dont think an auto AK needs 5 full gallons.. Am I wrong? I rolled the bag down at the top to about 3'' above the soil now.
 
The more the dirt the merrier lol. The more dirt the more root mass and ganja has a lot of root mass vertically(more roots=more healthy foliage). Your good though. But yess you did it almost perfectly.

Well, im off to do the other one.. Damn they look so small in those bags lol..They only have like 2 sets of leaves lol
