Leaves are curling, w/ pictures

ph is right around 6.2-6.4, ppm's are 700 when aerogarden is full, by the end of the day it's 800ish, and i refill. Fox Farm's Tiger Bloom. Temps are 72-84 (low/max). Humidity 40-50%. 12/12.

This is the only plant showing it (1 of 4), the biggest plant too, and the only leaf set showing it. That leaf set is the 2nd to the top. The top leaf set was a consistant shade of yellow green about two days ago, and it seems to have gotten better. More green. So i figure, even though my light is 8" away from top of plant, since the top leaf set is fine, i figure it's not heat stress. But the damage is slowly getting worse just on these two leaves.

I created some foilar spray last night with 200ppm tiger bloom spray, and gave the plants a good spray just after lights went out. I know tiger bloom isn't the best for foilar spray, i need more money. I don't have a water temp meter, the water is chilly. And 3 days ago, when i first saw the damage, tiny amount, i flushed the water.

phosphorus deficiency?

actually, since i'm not using big bloom, i'm thinking it's a Potassium deficiency. I might add some Grow Big to my garden, or create a foilar spray with grow big (which is what i wish i did now...).

i couldnt wrap my head around hydro, so dont know how much help i will be; but to me it looks like possibly a little nute burn; i would back off of the nutes and see if it clears up.... anywho; bumpin it up for someone that knows better than i....

I'm prepping for nute burn, because if i have to adjust for that plant, i have to adjust for the other 2 along with it. But i just don't get how nute burn would hit the biggest the hardest, even if it is more susceptible. Plus, in the picture below, my cronic seed is the smallest of all of the plants. Directly to the right of the plant on the far left.

The leaves are starting to bleach, i think it's just heat stress. I didn't think heat stress would activate unless my temps hit high enough. I'm only at 83-84 today.

I just read that if i go beyond 75watts a square foot, the plants will start light bleaching/light burn. I was entirely unfamiliar with this. Thats got to be what i did.

that is def. not light bleaching... light burns are caused by being too close to the lights.... as far as the 75w sq ft... i'm callin bs on that one too.... i had over 500 watts in a 2.5x3 area with no problems.... lights only 6-8inches away from the tops also.... your temps are perfect... see this is why i dropped hydro like a bad habit.....

i got nothing then. I don't want it to be nute burn. much prefer light damage.

This is what i took just now. So those pictures at the top are from this morning, just after they woke up, and this is a now picture.

500w in a 2.5'x3' is only 66.6w per square feet. Not to say the 75w/square feet isn't BS. According to that rule, my light should be at least spread out over a 1.5x1.5. I'm trying to just light up the smaller than 1square foot aerogarden.

When i refilled my tank tonight (which of course dilutes it), my ppm's went down to about 449 from 802, so i added grow big till it hit 589. My plants are sucking up water pretty quickly, by 10am tomorrow, the end of their dark period, i bet the ppm's will be at 630. Hoping the extra K in grow big will make up for the K deficiency.

But these ppm numbers are low:(. I went from 700 to 800 from begining of day till end, to what is now gonna be 600 to 700. Is it ok for me to jack my ppm's back up? Or really, is that for sure not nute burn, and instead a deficiency like K or light damage, so i should instead raise my ppm's back up?

i'm using distiled water too.

You can always up your ppm, just see if the problem goes away first and go from there.

If your burning them it could cause your deficiency. So keeping ppm low for now might solve that riddle.

true. thats what i'm gonna do. let the ppm's sit low for the next few days. I just did a final check, and it's at 639, and i probably won't let it get above 700 for the next probably two days to actually pick up on a trend.

I added my 4th plant tonight, so i lifted the light to 9.5" away from top of plants. I just need to get a 250w to keep watts/square-foot up while better handling the surface area by raising the light higher.

thanks for the help
