Miracle Gro question

Alright , first off I know that miracle gro obviously isnt the best to use. But I'm strapped a little for cash atm so I picked some up. Another reason is because I have absolutely no gardening shops around my area with the good stuff so I would have to order online and get it shipped.

Anyways. Has anyone ever used the miracle gro brand before?
I picked up some all purpose 24-8-16 for veg , and some ultra bloom 15-30-15 for budding.
Couple questions.
This product says in the directions to water using it once every 7-14 days..I know that cant be right. How often do I water with the nutrient instead of plain water?

Also , should I use what the directions say? Or should I dilute it and use less of the fert in my mixture? If so , how much less of it should I use?

by the way im growing in soil.

Ur fine iv seen ounces grown in miricle grow im using it now my plants are big ass hell and yeah you can use those ferts too i have the same ones buddy but you must moitior nutz and add more than what it says on the box at different times. I do mines like dis

not even a 1/4 tblsp for seedling

week one 1/4 tblsp
week two .5 tblsp
week three .75 tblsp
week four 1 tblsp

this is per gallon!!!!!!!!

For flowereing useat your own pace just like above but you can prob go by half tablespoons at that pont so
it would be

1 + .5
then 2
then 2.5

and so on get it!!!!!!

If you are using Miracle grow soil as well, I know they put a good bit of nitrogen and potash in their stuff, so I usually dont use nutes until after the first month at least. I also use miracle grow fertilizers (prob the same ones you got). I dont like to make a gallon mix at a time so i usually put a quarter of a teaspoon or smaller into a half liter of water. Its not very exact, but I notice when i mix the recommended amount and let it sit out for a while, it starts to stink (probably mold i think), so i find it easier to mix small amounts. I usually fertilize every week or two as needed, after a good watering so as not to shock the plants.

I didnt buy the miracle gro soil , I watched a vid on making a soil without ferts in it, so I bought a bag of peatmoss, bag of perlite n a bag of vermiculite to mix my own.

for the whole how often I water them with the fert solution, I didnt really totally understand ur answers. Do I water with ferts every other watering? or plain water for 2 waterings then a fert watering?

thanks bori. I just read the article in your journal on Rodelization. I need some seeds myself for this spring, and i will try this technique out.

I fertilize once a week, but I play it real safe so i dont burn my plants. Nutrients are very important, but you will kill your plants faster by over nuting than by not giving them enough. If you are just starting, think about waiting until they show a slight nitrogen deficiency to keep from over nuting when they are young. You will notice the very bottom leaves turn yellow, starting at the edge and working back to the stem. This is usually a N deficiency. (careful to not mistake it for heat burn, which turns leaves brown and can happen anywhere on the plant). A little N fertilizer will replenish the soil until you fertilize again in a week or two.

great fuckin thread guys...when i water i usually use a small amount of fert every time...like maybe 1/4 of the total amount of water is water with the mg fertilized water...since the solution is already a little less than regular strength this is almost regular water with just a hint of nutrients...i think this is probably a good way to do it cuz they are constantly exposed to the nutes and can probably get what they need, but HOPEFULLY they will never get too much...
