Second Grow DWC

I am doing my second grow DWC. I got the plant from a buddy of mine it was his mother so it is big. It looks as if it is a triple OG kush purple dogo mix. It is around 4 feet tall and was in rockwool when I got her and was in an Ebb n Flow set up. I transplanted into a DWC system with two air stones in a 5 gal bucket. She is really healthy and sooo green. I am currently in the 2 1/2 week of flowering and has some nice bud sites. I am using Sensi bloom 2 part, Big bud, Nirvana, Massive, Bud candy, and Overdirve. I used a root stimulator for the first two weeks of flowering to help with the transplant and stimulate root growth so it will do well in the DWC. I am currently running 1300 ppm. I am using a 400 Watt HPS and two 68 W CFLs with 2700k color spectrum. My room is a 1.5x2.5x6. So I am running around 12,000-16,000 Lumens/sq. Ft. depending on how far down the bud sites are. Tonight my HPS went out and I brought it to a shop to get the ballast fixed. I put a 250 CFL in there tonight to supplement light but I am wondering if it will screw up the cycle and I will have a smaller yield. I am shooting for .5 g/W so around 8 oz. from this grow. What do you think?

I don't see it being a big deal as long as your ballast gets fixed soon, it gets cloudy for days on end sometimes, look at it as a natural cycle... Gives them a slight rest...thinking about it you might even get a bigger yield.. No listen... Gives them a slight rest as long as it not to long... May even help , plus 450 watts of florest on one plant isn't that bad, no it's not hps, but it's not like a 20 watt bulb or some shit.

Thanks Joe. I was thinking the same thing about the cloudy day I was just worried about my baby. I will be getting my HPS back tomorrow. I will try and get my hands on a camera and post some pics.

He Flo, I have a Sun Systems 2 all in one. My room is small, only 3.75 sq feet. The bulb I am using puts out 54,000 lumens with two 68 W actual CFLs for supplemental lighting under the ballast portion of the light which put out about 65 lumens per watt so 8,840 lumens from those. The CFLs are right on two main families. Light diminishes by the square of the height away from the object you are trying to light it is an inverse relationship. Since it is a tall plant the top gets the most light with some penetration on the lower sites further down. I am running 62,840 total lumens in the closet. Per square foot it is 16,757. I am getting my light back on friday. She seems to like the CFLs right now her leaves are getting really crystaly, and her roots are robust. I usually feed on thursday nights but I will be putting the light back in on friday and switching it around as to reduce the heat inside the closet so I will just feed on friday. I am going to bump it up to 1400 ppm. I just put a DIY CO2 dispenser in there using sugar, water, and yeast. She seems to be taking well to that because I keep the door closed.

geezus, man that's some sic buds bro, they look great for 47 days, ought to be some dank bud for sure! I wish I had a buddy that would turn me on to a 4 ft. tall mother. Yea, you should get some decent yield off that girl. congrats, looks good enough to eat.

Thanx ray! I have worked hard and that ruler is at the base of when the bud starts too. I am sooo stoked to smoke em. I have about two weeks left and then drying and curing. I was really lucky that my buddy gave me this monster and it grew into the closet perfectly I really couldn't ask for a better set up.

Thanks Mineralz! Yea I know I haven't updated in a while. I actually don't have a digi camera and had to use a friends. Ill grab the camera when I harvest in 2 weeks or so and give a wet and dry weight!!

im just on my third grow of cheese and pulling anythink from 10 -15 ozs out of a square metre i through 2 plants in the one tank bath whatever ya wonna call it
thats gonna smash it though like the way you pulled all the bottom scrag off it keep it updated even if theres no pictures nice one

Thanks AZ. I got one plant in there right now and she is taking up the whole space. A little bit of a potassium deficiency right now but she is just wanting to finish up and her leaves are turning yellow. I will begin to flush on saturday and give her a good week to do that. From what I have read about cheese it is supposed to be an awesome strain. And 10-15 oz from two plants is an awesome efficiency man way to go. You really thing there could be 10 oz. in there? Cause I would be absolutely stoked to get that out of this plant. She is bulking like no other right now and about 1/4 of her pistils have turned orange so still some time to go. Ill grab some more pictures in a couple of days defiantly on harvest day!!

mate i knew that was one plant and that just looks like what mine did when i done the two in the one bath and i got twelve then all the bottom shit i put back under for another two weeks andgot about another one and a half and thee buds did dence up a bit in them two weeks other wise if i hadnt put it back under then it would of been just scrap this time though ive pulled alot of the bottom shit off im just starting week 4 and mate im sure i read your first lot of pictures was week 4 of flower or somethink like that anyway i was stoned and a couple of days have passed so thats just a distant memory now lol
but yours look well better than mine but trust me mate this uk cheese is dynamite
