New LP Aero/RDWC Strong Tote grow chamber Ruffneck reservoir

So after making some stinkbud units a ways back and from the long road or growing and learning along the way I've come up with my own system finally.

Nothing serious really just trying to make things easier during the grow for one. Having a remote reservoir where I don't need to lift the plants is great.

So I'm going to changing the lid that's there to a new one with 6in net baskets instead probably 4-5 per lid. Going to have three of these total to keep a 3 week perpetual cycle.

Here's the inside still need to drill the sprayers in. The pump will be in the ruffneck pulling water from both bins back to the sprayers.

I'm going to wrap the hoses with duck tape for now. Couldnt find anything else to flexible. The plus side is I can run the lengths of tubing anywhere I want. Once I get my room set up with four total seperate 4x4 tents 3 for flowering and 1 for vegging. I'm going to keep the reservoirs outside the tents altogether so theyll be easy to monitor. Also easy to flush all I have to do is undo the union turn the valve off and pump them both out with the pump draining both at the same time.

Let me know what ya think. Going to be getting a air pump and stones obviously. Only things is it will not be recirculating constantly but I think going on for one minute every 5mins it should be pretty good.

Did a test run and everythings mint no leaks first shot.

Put some clones I had going into it for now. Still need to go buy new covers, 6in net baskets, air pump, and air stones.

For now with the clones I don't need to worry about the air stones by next week ill get all that.

That's a 396gph pump you see. Pulls the water thru the 3/4in tubing really good actually with the sprayers putting out a full mist and all.

I've been thinking I might add another little pump 100gph or less to just keep it recirculating constantly. Ill have it pulling from the grow chamber with the pump mounted externally dumping the water back into the reservoir. I guess it would be more of an under current.

Thanks flo. Can't take all the credit just pulling and pooling ideas from every where while trying to keep it simple and efficient.

I was trying to do it all off one pump to keep it simple which is fine and do able. But I like the idea of the water constantly circulating with it well aerated. I'm hoping to get those fine root hairs which I get now with aeroponics and the long rope like noodles. I figure the plant grows them all in different ways for a reason so why not give it every possible way to grow w/e roots it wants. Well see anyway. I'm by no means a professional before weed it was nothing. Lol.

The fine feeder roots are what we want and not the main search roots.
You should get lots of dissovled oxygen from your nice set up.
Are you using drippers up top like a WaterFarm when you veg and bloom ?

I use nothing but ez clone sprayers screwed into that 1/2in pvc frame sitting in under the roots. Second post down shows the sprayers installed.

As clones I use what you see in the pics 2in net pots with neoprene lids. Just cut and put them in there for 3 weeks. From there ill be making a bunch more of the same things but I just pull the whole 2in net pot out of the cloner take the neoprene lid off and fill the 2in net pot with hydroton and put that into a 6in net pot filled with hydroton.

I'm going to be making new style lids to hold the 6in net pots obviously. Probably going to do 5 per lid and cut the one that grows the shittiest everytime because there's always one for some reason...lol.

Thinking about trying using uni-seals also and keeping the ruff neck right behind the tote and using 2-3in pvc for a true under current style.

Depending on if I try the uni-seals or not I know ill be using the 1in ebb and flow bulkhead fittings along with the screens for the veg and flowering set ups. Seeing the roots will then be taking advantage of the dwc/uc set up.

The cloner in the picture or w/e I end up doing with it lol uses all 3/4 in waterproof electrical bulkheads from lowes. Everythings from lowes but the water pump. For some reason I still by the ones from my grow shop. I think there priced well so I haven't bothered I guess its 30$ for the 396 and 50$ for the 696 I have in my stinkbud veggers.
