My first try at DWC

I've got 2 Auto seeds germinating now, a Roadrunner and a Haze auto. Just wrapped them in a paper towel and such a couple hours ago. Going to germ them and put them in a DWC setup and start them under either my t5 lights or some CFLs depending on room under the t5s. Once I'm done using the flower room to finish the two plants in there and to sex some clones from my vegging plants, I'll switch the light to 18/6 and put the autos in there and see what happens.

In case anyone reads this thread without reading my other thread, I've upgraded my lights quite a bit since starting this thread. I now run two of the 24"X 4 tube H.O. t5 fixtures for veg and just hooked up a 600w HPS for flower.

They both are sprouting today and the Haze is already starting to stand up. The Roadrunner will be in a few more hours by the looks of it.

Here's current pics of the setup I'm working with. The Haze is the one that's further along.

You can't tell from the pics and I'll post some where you can tell but there's more to the setup than you can see. There's actually an insulated tote inside the black one. I'm using the top for the black tote to hold the plants and block the light. The air pump is inside the black tote and next to the insulated one.

Here's a poor quality pic but it's a pic anyway. I keep forgetting to take a pic of what's under the yellow top but will remember at some point.

Seems to be going pretty good so far doing DWC with the autos.

While your comment is funny, I actually only killed 1 clone in the first DWC attempt. I saved the Sour grapes and finished her in soil, got just shy of 3oz off her(it was something like 78grams dry). Saved the GC too and grew her out in soil, took cuttings from her and flowered those in hydro.

I was checking Ph this evening and noticed I got a little root porn going on in there, bow chicka bow wow. The Haze auto has one root that is in the water already. The Roadrunner doesn't have any roots showing but is just about the same size above the basket.

Here's an update. I've remodelled the grow op extensively over the last few weeks and one of the attached pics show the new location of the DWC with the autos. It was taken a few days ago and the other pics were taken yesterday (day 23).

I think they're coming along rather nicely.

That's a 150 watt HPS bulb in a DIY reflector and they've been under it for about a week now. The stalks really fattened up after going under the HPS light. Don't know if it was coincidence or not but anyway...
