Few questions before i start my grow!

First of all i think this will be my final setup unless you can give me a logical reason as to why i should change out a part.

Not sure on the exact dimensions of my grow space I will measure it tommorow. It will be completely covered in reflective material, I will have 2 clamp reflectors with Y connectors housing 2 CFLs 65w 2700k and 65w 6500k bulbs. They will be mounted above the plants, I was hoping to alternate the bulbs w/ the y connectors so I have a 2700k and 6500k reflecting off the material for all sides of the plant.

4 CFL's Total 65w 2700k and 6500k = 16900 lumens*

* based on 65 lumens per watt

Idea's or suggestions are welcome!:roll:

Eight Gallon Tank
Six 4" Net Pods
Air Pump Rated 10-20Gal
250gph Submersive Water Pump
Six Channel Irrigration Manifold
Flexible Light Blue Tubing

Then for a growing medium i was planning on using.

Rapid Rooter Grow Plugs 50 pk
Hydroton Clay Pellets


how much hydroton should i buy for 2 or 3 harvests?

does anyone have experience with rapid rooter?


I was looking into a ph test kit is this worth it? http://www.hydroponics.net/i/131697 or will i need alot more ph up/down then that?

What do you recommend for nutes other then stealth hydro's nutes?

Hey nsb welcome. I would check on the form dwc or bubbleponics has great info and will push you in the right direction. everybody on here is great to work with and somone im sure will stop by and help you out. Start reading post in hydroponics and it will get you going. good luck with your grow.

You need any good nutrient made for VEG and a different one for Flowering.

Forget the submersive water pump... grow on bubbles alone. I have the same pump and Ive never used it. I get plenty of O2 on pumps / bubbles alone.
I would suggest you start with a max of 4 net pots in an 8 gallon tank... i would even go with 2.
Your plants need room to grow... above and below the water line.
I have 3 monster girls in a 10 gallon bin... and its way tight... but working.
Check out my grow below... you might get some tips.

I changed my mind saved up some cash and im looking at the SH Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics Complete Kit for 189.95 what should i add on to the order if anything should i pay 10 more for dual spectrum 65 lights

Those first 3 weeks is when the feeding tubes really make a difference.

i think that may be because the roots arent huge yet. maybe there not out of the clay yet really . thats why your tubes help so much i bet. i havent been usuing any clay. its just open so im sure i wouldnt benifit nor even be able to use the pump. but so far with my new set up its doin great. i havnt shown anyone new pics yet. but ill start a thread n spread some. roseman knows tho man. i would love to hit 6oz a plant. my first and only flower was only 144 grams out of 25 plants. not that good.

what do you feed your girls rose?

Hopefully in a couple weeks I'll have my bubbleponics unit up and running and growing the rediculously expensive Elephant strain from bc bud depot. My friend was dumb enough to pay the 500 for the seeds and I'm going to try and score six clones from him since he's growing some of my gear.

feeder tubes deff make a diff from what i see. my grow is going absolutely awesome and im following roseman as close as i can. cept im using fox farm nutes and a 400w MH. he deff knows what hes talking about.
