Basically I had started out with a small PC case grow and decided that the time and effort put in to it wouldn't really be worth it, so after a few weeks of adjustment I was able to set my closet up for a little CFL grow.

I am currently working with a clone going on its 3rd week of veg and I just put 3 bag seed from some meh mids in rapidrooters (they were germmed and whatnot).

I had a previously started thread but it was listed as a micro PC grow which I guess was misleading, but I will just post all my pictures in this thread from now on and keep this one up to date.

Here's my progress over the past month:

Well the last pictures were taken 2 days ago pre-watering and since then she has bushed out so much it's just amazing me, especially after seeing the clone that she came from.

I forgot to list my main details for this grow in the 1st post so here they are:
Grow area: Closet.....
Lights: 6 23w 6500k CFL + 2 26w 2700k CFL for veg, will be the opposite once flowering.
Temps: 72-80 lights off, 80-88 lights on
Grow medium: FFOF soil + a layer of hydroton on bottom and a thinner layer on top (has been doing amazingly for me so far, 1st time grower and haven't had any major problems yet)
Water: Unchecked PH tap water (I know this isn't the best but I don't have a place to keep a bucket of water to ph balance)
Nutes: I have not used any yet but I have grow big and big bloom from Fox Farm's, I was thinking another week or so before I give her nutes for 2-3 weeks then flower her (will be a total of 5-6 weeks of veg)

Going in to my 4th week of veg for the clone I had, and all I can say is damn she is bushing out a lot and looks like she has at least 20 bud sites as of right now, probably one more week of veg and I'm just gonna say fuck it and go 12/12, even with the bag seed I started about a week and a half ago.

I have noticed a little problem that doesn't seem to be affecting growth much but was just wondering if any of you could help identify what it could be, it looks like a bug is eating the leaves but I can't seem to find anything.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing the holes in my leafs? Thought I'd have at least one suggestion by now, I have tried the search feature (I know how to use it, been here for at least a year now) and can't find anything .

Been nearly 2 weeks since the last update so here ya go.

The clone has went through 5 full weeks of veg and where she is at now compared to when I got her, all I can say is wow.....I am amazed that I was able to do something like this. There is well over 20 bud sites and she looks like a bush. The LST has been working amazingly and I have only had to redo it every few days.

I have my FF grow big and big bloom that I didn't even get to use for vegging because I don't want to over feed and don't have a full understanding of how much to feed and when.

The seed is now about 3 weeks in to veg, but since it was just something I threw in because I could, it will be going in to flower with the clone since I don't have separate rooms.

If any of you have any feedback, good or bad, please let me know since not many people seem to have anything to say on how I am doing for a first timer.

Here's some pics from the 2nd - the 12th, also the clone kind of looks frosty when I take pics with my flash on which is kinda getting me excited

have you seen any bugs in there that could be causing the holes?
your plants are looking alot better though now did you find out why they had yellow and brown leaves? my plants are having the exact same problems
anyways looking forward to more updates !

The only bugs I have seen is a tiny spider and stinkbugs, but never any stinkbugs in the closet only near my window. No idea on the leaves, I'm guessing it's a mix of them growing too quick in to the lights or some kind of nute problem but I'm not 100% since it's my first go. Thank for the compliment

Now week 4 in to flowering, closet smells dank every time I open it when lights come on. I think things are still going great, buds are takings great shape, about as round as a dime and as tall as a quarter.

The bag seed ended up showing balls about 2 weeks in to the flowering cycle, felt bad for having to kill him, but no one likes seeds in their buds.

Still no nutes just straight tap water (that I let sit for at least a day). I want to start giving it molasses or another sugar based thing to help buds plump up some more. Not much else new just been doing everything the same all the way through, so yeah.....here's some bud pronz, enjoy!

Since no one seems to have anything to say I'll ask a question, seeing as how this is my first grow and haven't gotten much if any advice yet besides what I have researched.

Are my buds looking to be at an appropriate size for being 4 weeks in to flowering under CFL's?

Okay now in week 8 of flowering, and wondering when to harvest. Hairs are nearly 60/40 but this is my first grow so would like some more insight on if she is ready or when she will be.

Sorry I didn't update more, not much interest kinda discouraged me.

hey mate,noob here too,
but i have grown for some years,and have only recently taken it up again(the usual reasons)i used to grow with a 400 hps which was great,but have decided to move to cfl's until i can get a decent grow room.
you definately inspire me to keep at it,those buds look dankalicious my friend well done!
i have just germinated seeds in my new box but havent bothered posting here because it seems people just want to look and not join in,anyway thought id offer some encouragement.
make sure to post your harvest bro..

Never got to really finish this "journal" or w/e, so here is what I ended up with. 21 g dried of some of the best buds I've ever smoked, made it last almost a month. I am about to be starting my 2nd grow, I am going to get a 250 HPS, mainly because I wasn't too impressed with the bag appeal of my buds, they were really airy when dried but then again I didn't use any nutes just straight tap water, and I built a small mother/veg box so I can try to get a small perpetual thing going. But anyways here's some nice bud porn from a first time grower, enjoy. Hopefully I will get a few more followers in my upcoming grow . And thanks for the encouragement, I will keep my next grow updated better and will be getting to try some new things, so I can't wait for my tax return to get here!
