dinafem blue widow

dinafem blue widow started life as a triploid. lst'd then topped to achieve 50 tops. vegged for about 60 days.
at week 2 flowering cut out about 5 tops then week 5 cut out 5 more all these were smaller and lagging behind.
week 10 since flip. i call it week 8 of actually flowering. have 2-3 weeks left.
grown under ~500w cfls in 2x2x4 cab 1/4 of cab is used for flowering my revegged g13 pineapple express and to start a humboldt lemon thai kush.
grown fully organic in reammended super soil mix.
added glacial rock dust, epsom salts, hi p bat guano every 2-3 weeks during flowering.
took 2 buds today to see the difference between taste/potency at week 8 and 10.
breeder claims 8 weeks but from all i have seen 10-11 weeks makes for much better yield.
but may not be willing to give up taste for yield we will sees.
the trimmed bud has a few smaller popcorns below it total wet weight was 10g's hoping for 3g when dried.
so 40 tops at 3 g's hoping for about 140-150g total by week 10. 150g/375w would = 0.4 grams/watt which wouldn't be bad for cfl's.
i know the number crunching is just that so lets wait 2-3 weeks and finish this show.

would like thank everyone for checking out my beautiful lady.
as for the slippers gotta make sure my fashion points are near the top in case the buds are mediocre.
will have updated pics tomorrow.
also would like to chime in how there is to much negativity surrounding the large seed banks.
i have grown barney liberty haze, g13 pineapple express, now dinafem blue widow all have been exactly what they say they are.
so before reading some random people internet bashing maybe just give it a try. sure there are possibly better out there but these companies are still legit.
and for everyone saying $15 a bean is overpriced. in my eyes to get great genetics and produce thousands of dollars of product is a very cheap investment.
sure if it was up to me i would be giving it all away for free making the world a better place but we all know thats not how this crazy society works.
burn one for me on day 7 of detox for having to get a job envious of all smokers:cuss::wall: :bigjoint:

She's beautiful bru, I'd like to know about your exact combination of kelvins in all 22 cfls and please answer me on why you chose 23w cfls only, if there's a specific reason tho coz I had thot more watts the better.

my first run of lib haze i did the whole veg 3:1 5000k:2700k then switched 3:1 2700k:5000k for flowering. well being in a small cab heat is a real issue switching like this raised my temps 5-10 degrees depending on outside temps. well i am not one to take others word on shit so i said i am doing it my way this time. this whole blue widow grow i ran 5:1 ratio of 5000k:2700k. now i didn't run 22 cfl's the whole time i upped the wattage as i needed think i started around 14 cfl's.

i chose 23w because they are the most efficient in lumens/watt. also cfl's dont penetrate so to me the more bulbs the closer as many leaves as possible is the answer to that problem. this works best for me may not for others i just try to put correct information with proof to show my method works.

efficiency according to a bit of number crunching.
18w = 1000 lumens/18w= 55lumens/watt
23w = 1600 lumens/23w= 70lumens/watt
42w = 2700 lumens/42w= 64lumens/watt
105w = ~7000lumens/105w=67lumens/watt
200w = 12000lumens/200w=60lumens/watt.

day 58 since i consider start of flowering. getting sexier by the day.
right at switch of flower i added 2 inches to bottom of pot 33% perlite, 33% worm castings, 33% homemade cow poop compost, and 1% LOVE.
plant is starting to eat leaves so a bit more potent super soil next time which i have already mixed up.
but blue strains are light feeders supposedly so i went easy being my first run.
can see she is still throwing a few white pistols here and there and still chunking up. hoping to push her to around day 70.
right now i am showing about 5% amber 70% cloudy 25% clear. my opinion could be taken at anytime but hoping for a bit more bulk.
still have smoke from other grows so gonna let this one be pushed right to the end.
day 8 for me without smoking. stupid piss test to get new jobs. burn for me everyone :bigjoint:

true about the 23W being the most efficient, that's what I'm using too. As far as the Blue Widow I must say that's a sexy looking plant right there bob. That's near perfetion for LST, looks like a SCROG w/o the screen. lol... Any future plans after this run? thanks for the update!

ps: gotta spread some rep

i cannot comment on the smoke yet as i have never had it. i get mixed reviews dependent on person.
when i get a chance i will post a few pics of the bud i trimmed a few days ago almost white with bit of lime green color when dried.
also if you read description from breeder the leaves turn to a red when cool enough. i run 20 degree spread from day to night sometimes even a bit more.
my lows are 58 and my highs are 82. but most days 62-79 is all and still get this nice color change.

i have a pineapple express about half way done that shares a corner of my box with the blue widow.
it was a reveg and just not sure about the strain does not seem to like intense light as big fan leaves on upper buds seem to burn up on me. i try to keep lights about 2 inches from plants and this girl is about 3-4 and still burning up. will take pics of the ugly girl tomorrow.

also have a humboldt lemon thai kush just entering veg stage. that will be grown exact same way as this blue widow lst'd to look like a scrog.
just this morning transplanted from solo cup to 3 gallon contain not sure if this will be final home.
cannot find much info on this strain so said screw it and went for it. was looking to go a bit more sativa dominant.

thanks again i am impressed with this strain so far. all those buds are rock hard besides.
much more dense than the liberty haze or pineapple express. when touched they make your fingers sticky and stink like sweet acid/sour pungent slight berry smell.
will say 2-3 weeks ago stunk of straight sweet blueberries but has morphed a bit not quite as nice but hope a good cure will bring that back

blue widow is a fun plant.. got 5 going now.. scrogging under a 400hps, 4 of those seeds were gifted blue widows.. not dinafem :) doing a comparison.. 1 is dinafem and is the last of 5 that i had.. hope the new bw's are as awesome as dinafems.
