**PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY TIME BEFORE WATERING PH = 5.5 AND SOLUTION IS AT ROOM TEMP (60-70DEGREES) WHEN ADDED**

I am noticing that all of my older leaves and fan leaves have turned a very light shade of green, and are developing brown spots at the tips then into the center of the leaves before turning yellow and dying. The growth were the bud is forming is a very nice shade of medium to dark green and do not show signs of dying or browning/yellowing. The brown necrotic spots are starting at the bottom of the plant and making their way up slowly, again, not affecting the budding part of the plants and its leaves. Before the plant started into the 12/12 daylight process it was showing signs of over fertilization because of the slight yellow tips, but never had stunted growth. Before putting them into flower I had flushed the medium with DNF Clearing solution to help wash out any toxic salts and old ferts that may have accumulated at that point. I am very confused because I am already showing signs of over fertilization because of the yellow tips but have not experienced stunted growth even at 20 days flowering. Because of this I am afraid to add more nutes, so I have been conservative and eyeing them down closely. I would love to hear some feedback. I think I might have not added enough Bloom solution but want to be sure before doing so. Has anyone every had this kind of problem before? I am completely baffled!!!! Thanks in advance. - J

Everything I say is a lie and I do this for Kicks and Giggles. I do not want anyone to take me seriously.

I add at 5.7 or 5.8 normally because the PH always raises in the pot a full point sometimes (6.8-7+). I am starting to think that it is a Mg deficiency lately. I am now showing signs of brown on the outside of the leaves and tips while the inner part remains a very light green. I will try to post a pic shortly...

I am thinking you might have a Potassium deficiency due to a lock out from either to much Calcium or Na

scroll down to Potassium section with picture.

Potassium deficiency (K).

"Older leaves are initially chlorotic but soon develop dark necrotic lesions (dead tissue). First apparent on the tips and margins of the leaves. Stem and branches may become weak and easily broken, the plant may also stretch. The plant will become susceptible to disease and toxicity. In addition to appearing to look like iron deficiency, the tips of the leaves curl and the edges burn and die."

Hope this helps

Have you pH'd your runoff water? I really think you are too acidic. Someone I know had this problem, and it was nute lockout. He thought he was doing fine with the pH, till he measured it, and it was in the lower to mid 5's coming out of the bottom of his containers.

I advise flushing with 7.0+ ph'd water, 3 times the container size. Then, check the runoff water to confirm. My friend had to flush about 15 times the container size to get it to 6.8ish. That's how far off he was.
