FIRST SCROG and GROW need help on the light switch (pics)

Hey guys thanks for all the help that I've already received on here but here is my next obstacle. I have 3 femd THC bombs coming up on week 4.5 of veg. I have one monster who is filling the screen nicely and my other 2 who are the same size that are now just starting to hit the 8" mark where my screen is. They all are still a little crispy for the overnuting last week but making an amazing comeback. How soon should I hit the 12/12 cycle?

EDIT: AND bonus points for whoever can explain to me why my PH in my recirculating hydro setup never stays below 6.0.. it just keeps rising and rising I don't understand it. I do use tap water but is only around the 170-210 range.

I would let them go a little longer maybe another week to fill that screen up some more and to let them recover a bit from the nute burning. I like my screen filled up about 2/3 of the way before I flip the lights. The streach will fill up the rest.

As you read about the scrog method, you begin to notice a familiar trend. Filling the screen to nearly full, then flowering is typically the routine. People mention percentages as to give a general rule of thumb. 60-80% from Indicas to Sativas. Knowing your plant will help in determining this timing. I have yet to hear of a TOO full complaint, only too small a' cab complaints

Agreed, when a scrog is done correctly it should be hard to see the framework when you go to 12/12. Until then, you are investing your time in creating a quilt of love. I did so love my scrogs in the beginning. Back in the old uncomplicated soil days lol.

it all depends on the strain and that particular plant, i would wait about a week. ive grown both indicas and sativas, and well i would definately leave more space open for a sativa as to keep training while flowering. im about to start my first scrog soo we shall see how it goes.
