SOG questions on room sizes and setups

OK, this is going to be a bit winded, but what I want to know is:

I have 2 rooms that can be used, one with 8x8 usable and the other is 10x10 usable, both have closets that can be used with floros and some kinda of tank setups for cloning, while leaving the main area for the hid lights and main growth area. At first I thought cool one for veg and one for bloom, but as I'm putting my pre-plan together, I'm thinking that the offset of sizing is going to mess up my sog, and since both rooms have such large area's, what growing technique would give me the most efficient, and economical use of the areas?

having said that, I have used the sog before but I used a soil setup and hand watered, in the 8x8 size area. I am unsure on using sog with any hydro setup, and how the offset in the size of rooms would play into the timing of sog.

I have some options on lighting of each area, the smaller 8x8 could have a 400, a 600 or 1K mh conversion bulb, (i have each hps ballast) or some combination of floros and mh, and the larger area (10x10) I was planning 2 1k hps, all with glass tubes for venting.

not knowing what strain I will be using, how can I go about estimating my turnaround times for cloning (impossiable i no) and knowing how many cuttings to cut to fill 1/4 or 1/6 area needed for each 2 or 3 week cycle? and how many plants I need to fill the needed area for the bloom area as well.

So what I'm saying is knowing that my veg area is smaller than my bloom, but not knowing what strain i will be using, how can I est how many plants I will need to properly fill my bloom area to keep on schedule based on sog?

Secondary I'm asking what type of growing setup would work best in these size areas using sog. I want to use a system that is going to allow for the least amount of overhead, ie: bags of soil, large quantites of small containers..:wall:

If it was me... I'd get a 4x8 E&F with the biggest res I could find (make sure the floor can support the weight)... light that up with 2K HPS... then just keep some mother plants in the other room under a K of MH. Just cuz you got all that space don't mean you gotta use every square inch for plants. You're going to need a lot of extra space to devote to just keeping numbers in check.

Check out my journal, copy in both rooms ,do not veg more than 1 week
This will cost $1oo for wood etc
3 1ooow lights
15o+ 1 gal bags
Use bushmaster
2per@3lights=6lbs per room with 1 week veg time
Enjoy Hbr

I just finished reading your journal and having read that after reading stinkbud's journal I have to say I'm feeling like a noob all over again, lol I am defiantly going to figure out how to use both systems as they both have the traits I'm looking for as far as work load and yield potential.

I do have some questions for you on that stadium setup tho, I noticed your bulbs were hanging vert and were exposed, did you experince any burn to your plants from the lights hanging that way? and could you use cool tubes on the lights using that setup? were your lights on a system to raise and lower?

and if anyone that subscribed to hbr's journal has designed some plans based on the stadium and aero please fill me in, I am almost certain at this point that I want to do this hybrid sog stadium/aero using 4oo mh and floros for the veg, and 2 lk hps for bloom.

just off the top of my head I see it like this:
mammas under the 400, an aero cloner using the net cups and tops, transfer clones to 1gal bags with rocks (wash net cups to use again) to stadium rack shelves being some sort of gutter or channel that the bags can sit in and flood the gutter for 4 times a day?(<-help here) using floros over each shelve during veg growth(<-suggestions here welcome)

continue stadium setup in bloom, 2 racks 10' long and (<-what should my shelve spacing be here? and how many shelves per rack) with a 24" walkway?
shelves are gutters using same flood method to feed (I dont want to mix nutes and hand water every day! dont mind the extra work up front to make it more automated ) 2 1k, with cool tubes (<- is this even a good idea with a stadium setup?) and co2.

thats off the head and I am reformulating as we speak, thanks for your help and yes I will start a journal once I have everything nailed down and know what strain I'm using.
