So what you have is really a DWC system. BUBBLEPONICS refers to the feeder tubes bubbling water and nutes to each cube.
If the brown stuff is slimey, and I bet it is, it is algae. It comes from
1, allowing LIGHT to get in the tank, by too thin of a tank, or2, lights getting thru the hydroton rocks casue you didn't use cup covers, or y3, ou used water that sat around for a while in the Light. You got to lift the lid, draint he tank, and wipe off all of the slime, and then peroxide it good, then rinse it good, AFTER you figure out how ti got started in the first place.
Do you use HD Lights? then ti was the lights too close, maybe.
Maybe just one root got too much nutes near it and it went up to one leaf. That happens when yu don't mix the nutes in plenty of water first, then add the water. never add the nutes right to the tank. Mix them first. Nute burn does not always affect the entire plant. Light burn affects the tops only.

hey roseman, im a first timer and you seem like the guy to talk to. i have 4 seedlings a week old in peatmoss. they are powerplant seeds under a flouro "grow light" i think it gives off bout 70watts. i read the page you have on lighting and i finally understand what all that stuff means. tryin to stay cheap but i know i need some cfls, just wondering exactly what i should step up to next. its hard to figure in square feet when you only have four seedlings. maybe not. also the big mg debate. im pulled in many directions on that. i have a bag of guano but it says its only for water. i also have perlite and sand. not gona make the mix till i find a good answer. and when should i move them into pots? any help will be appreciated. thanks, paul |
yo whats up- i saw your pics on here of your 18gallon container setup. i also use that method but we havent harvested yet, what did you do when you harvested one plant at a time and had to cut the roots? |
