Default Someone explain what you guys are voting on in November?

If the "legalization bill" passes. You can have 1 ounce and 6 plants right? What about plants? What about the current medical marijuana system currently set up?

Does it look like it is going to pass?

Read a good article in the Northwest Leaf that I believe mentions it would restrict patients rights.

NO! We are not ready for legalization yet. If we legalize it that gives the state that much more authority of the substance and therefore we will be strangled of all the true benefits of marijuana as we see it starting to be sold with liquor and taxed and exploited. At least in the current settings we can build a better foundation to protect the people as a whole and THEN legalize it when WE get to set the regulations on it not the government. As of right now we're working on a cannabis Farmers Union and not to mention we already have the Cannabis Defense Coalition taking up arms against the city of Kent for placing a moratorium on 'collective gardens'.

IMO, the "medical" system is already abused, especially in that state. Cant tell you how many parties I've been too and seen more degenerate, young, white trash people exploiting the medicinal system, saying how much they "don't give a fuck" and "how easy it was" to get a med card and grow. I feel it has incredible medicinal properties (duh) and does help people, and thats beside the point, but unfortunately the system IS already abused. So, if it passes, the only thing that will really "change" per se is the price, which isn't exactly set in stone yet, and the fact that you WONT be arrested. A spokesperson for 502 said in response to the very low and seemingly unfair threshold for a 5ng/ml thc limit, that "You've got appear to be, or actually be impaired to get pulled over to begin with. So no stoned driving = no arrest." Sounds simple to me. Also, all you have to do is not be a felon to apply for the $1200 state issued growers license. I agree its not a perfect bill or way to do it, but that sounds better than what we currently have. Again, just my opinion but its a step forward..

I still don't understand why a felon cannot grow for the state. expecially when the crime have nothing to do with drugs. I am a felon and have been trying to stay strait. I have been out of trouble for over 4 years now, but I still couldn't be a commerial grower, thats not right. I would like to be involved in the marijuana production, cultivation, or sales. but ohwell for another 6 years

5 nanograms.... A continual user, typical medical patients, will constantly have Over 5 nanograms of thc in there system. Studies also show that 5 nanograms is no where near the threshold for the psychoactive effects. So vote no on I-502. Washington state is making so great leaps in the right direction don't get me wrong, but this would just be another way to legalize marijuana, but at the same time, make it illegal

sorry guys... you can not call this legalization... if anyone over 21 can "NOT " grow any marjuana legally themselves!!!

Vote No 502....... Vote Yes on 514

This bill was made to replace the liquor monopoly the state has lost control of....since 1933 the Washington State Liquor Control Board has had a monopoly on all aspects of the liquor industry...distribution, sales, taxes, everything. Now thanks mainly to Costco it will be sold in grocery stores the monoploly is finally over....but now a new product has become available.

It will be the State Liquor control board that will have control if 502 passes...you will be forced to buy at the state run and owned facilites.

Then to top it off...if you smoke say every day for a week or so.... then dont smoke for a week... you will still get a DUI if asked to blood test

Another aspect of the bill I personally dont agrre with is the 21 age limit...18 should be the age...If your old enough to vote and die for your country if drafted....then you should be old enough to puff the ganja legally.

So, you are aware that if 502 passes you will no longer be able to legally drive a vehicle as a cannabis user and you're still okay with that?

He who gives up liberty for safety deserves neither!

502 is NOT a legalization bill. Vote NO on 502. We can do better!
