So I moved into a new town recently, and I thought to myself that maybe some of these forums would be a good way to meet with some fellow bud smokers... so I put out some post saying, hey, i'm new in town, anyone want to get together and smoke some buds? Well, the only freakin responses I get are people calling me a cop or referring to bacon. Why is this? Has anyone ever actually been busted by responding to a web forum?? Do people actually get this paranoid that they think some freakin cop is surfing the net all day just so he can bust some guy for smoking freakin pot?? I would love to here some stories to this nature, but I really think that these responses are from basement dwelling losers who are so afraid to admit they like to smoke a joint every once in awhile that they cant even respond to an ANONYMOUS forum.

street cops no... feds and dea yea... grow up and grow your own. 23 years old and about 200 miles from me... second reason to never tell someone on here where you live.

Welcome to the site dude. Sorry to hear about your dilemma but coming into the forum with next to zero posts, a name of InNeedofBuds and then asking to meet up and smoke weed is not going to yield the best responses. Not to mention asking for bud is against the rules.
Your best bet is going to be meeting people locally... bars, concerts, colleges or just on the street.

i live in a rental house right now, or else I most definately would be.. do you really think I want to have to look for weed on a internet forum? i work all day long and havent developed a social life yet, this was the best way I could think off, its a shame everyone is so freaking paranoid... i thought the name would be straight to the point, i really misunderstood what these forums were all about

I think you must have... this is a forum for growing herb. Potheads are a paranoid group... perhaps a couple weeks or months after being here it wouldn't raise so many red flags.

But my advice would be to hang out awhile first and get to know some people, and find out who even lives in your area.
I'm new here too, but theres quite a few members and users at this joint.

Don't take it personal.
If people think you're a cop, then they're just trusting their instincts and or at least are being cautious.

Busting people for weed is Bullshit! But it happens.
And until Legislators get a fukkin clue to legalize it and tax the revenue instead, its gotta' be done incognito; sorta' usually.

I personally, dont think your a pig, but yeah, I gotta agree with the Buddha above, I wouldnt meet up with someone I met on the internet for solely weed-based reasons.
If you were a pretty girl and I wasnt 4000 miles away you may have been in luck though
Go find an easy-going club and keep your nose open, thats all the advice I could give.

Cough Cough.. I have a confession.... I have met up with other members of herb forums for the purpose of hanging out and *trading*. That being said I was not brand new, I had a grow going and had gotten to know the other person through threads and IM.
