So yesterday was pretty wild as far as weather goes. Started out HELLA hot, so we closed up and turned on the AC. Then the clouds come in. Cool(er). Then they start building up, then thunder. Dave and I can see some rain starting, but it never reached the ground. What did reach the ground was lightening.

This morning it's smokey as hell.

Redding and the Trinity Alps are quite a ways away from us. There have to be fires that are far more local, because the smoke is getting a lot thicker up here. I'm from SoCal, and I've already seen true conflagrations, I'm becoming concerned, especially because our road is lined with manzanita and pine trees and it's one way in/one way out only. fuck.
